It was a Derecho. That was absoluteley terrifying. I thought my apartment building would give way. No light, no internet, 100mph winds outside, my windows rattping, day turned to night. I was terrified, I thought I would die that night. Millions of others experienced this.

I lived in Houston for more than 20 years and every year there was flooding. You MUST have flooding insurance there, I feel sad for my good friends in Houston, stay safe.

Storm in my neighborhood only surged for 15 minutes. Most of the damage was from the wind. Still good to have flooding insurance.

Looks like these storms and tornadoes aren't gonna let up this summer. They are predicting up to 5 hurricanes making landfall during that season later this year, as well. I am glad I don't live in the south the way the weather often is there now, and it is probably only going to continue to get worse. We'll see. I wonder what rock-bottom will look like.
