That is so cool I also found out that there's colored glue that you can purchase in white instead of painting it I want to know please what paint did you use to paint over the glue thank you.

I have a heat gun. I could use it to make sure the back flattens out

Thanks for the tips but #@^$*! , I mean YIKES! Despite repeated attempts I continue to have trouble with this (fill in the blank) glue, you make it look so easy and they turn out great. I usually use resin but it’s getting costly yet it’s so much easier for me and my pieces always comes out perfect. I use to use paper clay when I started about 3 years ago but my regardless of how I dried them, in or out or the molds, they would usually end up slightly warped. I’m not making beautiful furniture only mix media stuff so I thought hot glue maybe the perfect solution, it’s cheap and drys quickly. I’m currently staring at a bunch of unrecognizable strange looking glue blobs however, I’m not ready to give up just yet. I’ll keep trying and watching your video, hopefully I’ll end up with some recognizable pieces soon. I do want to thank you again for sharing your tips and for your time spent creating this helpful video. I also apologize for my little rant, maybe you could please wish me luck in my ongoing hot glue mold quest, I’m sure as heck going to need it.

I would suggest the long glue sticks to keep from having to change out as often

Smoothing the surface with a hot air gun after squeezing the glue from the gun.

But you used a DUAL temp glue gun and never said which setting you used. THAT is what I am trying to find out before I go and melt a $20.00 brand new IOD mold.

Do you have to use a primer before you paint the mound?
