Painting the moulds with the graining is genius, thank you.
Está hermoso, pero yo soy de México , podrías poner la traducción.gracias
I almost chickened out of doing a carved wood look on a hall table. Now that I've seen your video, I know I can do it. - thank you
Deanna, you are probably one of the most genuine makers I’ve seen on any social media. Your skills and ideas are always so fresh and exciting. Your teaching skills are easy to follow. You also show what can happen when we do it ourselves and how to “fix the mishaps”. This is beautiful and so encouraging. Thank you for a GREAT channel and for another gorgeous piece!! Keep going! Let’s get this channel up over 100,000!!!!
Wow! Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment, I appreciate your support! I love teaching and inspiring others so I really appreciate your feedback and encouragement ☺️
@@DIYDEANNA and we appreciate YOU! Thank you!
@@DIYDEANNA subtítulos en español por favor. Es el segundo idioma más hablado del mundo. Gracias 🙋🏻♀️
Nueva suscriptora desde España 🤗🇪🇦
Deanna this is one of the best tutorials I’ve ever enjoyed and I enjoy a lot. I’ll be mimicking your masterpiece for years to come with many thanks! 🙏🏻
I hope you give it a try! Thanks for watching!
I need a stronger reaction option than the thumbs up. This is incredibly beautiful!!!
Wow, thank you!
Stars? 👍🏼😊
This is my first time watching. I love your makeover, I could sit all day and watch you work. It turned out so pretty.
I’m so glad you found my channel! Thanks for your thoughtful comment!
Your attention to detail is just phenomenal
Thanks for watching Cory!! ☺️
Beautiful Piece!! I love it. I really appreciate watching someone who knows what they are doing. I find there are so many people on the internet who say they aren't a pro, but they still give out advice as though they are. It's extremely frustrating!! I love your black/brown & choc brown dogs, too!!! We have a 17 yr old male fawn.
I really enjoy using IOD moulds with paper clay. Once painted and either waxed or sealed, they are durable! Plus you can bend them around corners and cut them while running your design across drawer front... lots of creative fun and vetsatility
Very nice! I like that you are not trying to rush through things too fast as you are explaining how you are doing what you're doing.
Deanna, your attention to detailing with paint to match the wood of the cabinet is fantastic & amazing. It really does look like it's been carved. I love your workmanship! Looking forward to seeing and learning more from you.
Thanks from a new subscriber. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. This is so beautiful 🤩
You’re a good instructor (coming from a fellow instructor). Thank you for speaking and instructing clearly with only necessary info to help the viewer achieve good results. Also, thank you for not playing music as I find it very distracting (so many UA-camrs talk with music playing or blast it in between talking causing me to have to continuously adjust my volume). Can you believe I did a similar technique to this in the mid eighties? All good things come back around! :-)
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! You’re right, all good things do come back around!
This is my first time seeing a video of yours and I loved it 😍! Thank you for sharing!
Incredible! This turned out gorgeous!!!! ♥️
So glad you like results! Thanks for watching :)
Watching you match/create the wood grain on the resin pieces was so cool- makes me want to try it :)
I hope you give it a try! Thanks for watching!
Ditto... LOL
I would have never chosen that decor - except the birds - then she put it all together and I loved it. Glad I watch until the end result.
These molds also work exceptionally well with paper clay which can be made easily with cardboard and glue (aka recycling... so free)
I've been on UA-cam since the beginning and this is one of the very small handful of times I've hit the bell. Love your stuff!!
Thanks for sharing your casting medium suggestion! And for hitting the bell. :)
This was an amazing tutorial, thanks alot!
I just did an apothecary dupe using a two part apoxy moulding clay. I loved it!
Sounds amazing! Thanks for commenting!
Wonderful! The addition of graining really works after the wax, etc. to mimick carved wood. An observation: From the side you can see some edges of the appliques aren't flush with the surface. Spoils the illusion of carved wood. Should be filled with something to close the gap (caulking? paint? wax?)
Very nice Deanna. The raised design totally changes the look of the piece. Your tutorials are always interesting and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to your next video. I love decoupage.
Thanks so much for your thoughtful feedback! I’m glad you are enjoying my tutorials, I’m looking forward to the next one too!
Thank you so much for sharing your video love the sunflower . I have purchase a lot of their molds and this is the first time I seen that one.. maybe you'll send me one as well 😄
WOW WOW WOW So happy this popped up on my YT videos. Just starting to flip furniture but I really want to make my work stand out. Such a great tutorial . Thank you .
You’re so clever. I love the results! I’m partial to white wash as well. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for watching Molly! Glad you like the results! I'm thinking of doing a coloured wash on an upcoming piece, or maybe an ombre wash...what do you think?
@@DIYDEANNA Yes! Definitely. I’m so impressed you were able to remove all the old layers of paint without a stripper. The nightstand looked like it was raw wood. A color gradient would be so striking.
Thanks for your feedback! The wheels in my mind are turning!!
Beautiful I was just thinking how you could make something like that , awesome!
I'm completely impressed with your instructional style and platform Deanna! Thank you for sharing your talents and this valuable tutorial! I just subscribed!!
This is just wonderful! I hope you're keeping it for yourself!
WOW! SO, SO BEAUTIFUL!
Wow, one of the prettiest pieces I've seen. I definitely want to do a version of this myself. Thank you for being so detailed.
This is truly beautiful! I am looking for a kit that will let me make my own cast. I am new to your channel and am so happy I tuned in. I love the easy way you present your techniques wit resin and "trick of the eye."
Making your own cast sounds like so much fun! Enjoy! Stay tuned... maybe more Trompe-l'œil in future videos!
STANDING OVATION!!!! what a wonderful and informative video. LOVED how you made those handles.
Thanks so much!!!
Love it! Especially the handles! Great instructions!
Thank you! I'm glad I took a chance with the handles, wasn't sure if it would work but it did!
What a delightful piece, I must try this myself. Thank you, I appreciate your effort❤️🎶🤗
OMG! I just stumbled on your Your Tube channel my goodness those are gorgeous. Please tell me where you purchase the molds.

Thanks for subbing!
Such beautiful work! I was so sad to find out the moulds are only sold through retailers!!! Ugh!! don't want to shell out $20 for ONE mould!!! But I do love the technique!!!
Found these molds on Amazon!
The molds are so natural, & casual. Not formal & heavy looking! My style! Beautiful!
Great tutorial 🙂, it turned out beautifully
Thanks so much for watching! Glad you like the result.
This project came out so beautifully thanks to the amazing tips that you provided. 👍👍👍
By far the best teaching I’ve seen. Your calm cheerful and confident manner coupled with the little oops are so helpful and give me the courage to try new things. Thank you.
I love this! Thank you for teaching us.
This was a totally refreshing, totally original diy. Thank you. New subscriber!
Incredible! True artistry and craftsmanship, you are a pro Deanna! I’m so excited to learn from your excellent video tutorials. Thank you for sharing your talent and encouraging others to try these techniques.
So impressive! I would never have thought that wasn’t wood.
Thank you!
Very nice technique for pulling through the grain patterns. I'll have to try this on my Trailer renovation. The combination of molded details and the white wash finish are what I have been missing in my project. I'll let you know how it turns out.
This is the best video tutorial that I have ever watched. Well explained and detailed step by step instructions. Lots of close ups for us to see what you are working on. Your videos are very professional! Thank you for taking the time to teach us! I have subscribed to your channel and looking to learn more from them.
Thanks for your feedback and subscribing! More videos coming soon!
This is such an incredible idea and now that piece looks like a work of art!!! Wow!!

Lovely. You explained well and I think I can do this. I'll try.
Totally love these molds and appliqués. Your demo is excellent.
Well you sure have inspired me ! I work with resin a lot and I want to redo an old antique bedroom set .
Thank you 🙏🏼 That was absolutely gorgeous!
I’m glad to hear you are feeling inspired!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing the tutorial! 😍👏
You’re welcome!
New subscriber here! Love this project! I recently started using moulds with clay. Would love to try the resin now! Thanks for sharing with us!
Thanks for watching! I love how fast this resin sets up, definitely speeds up the process! Hope you enjoy working with it.
I was thinking that polymer clay could be used, too. I have plenty of it, and resin is expensive. I would like to try resin one day, but too many hobbies already, lol
You did a beautiful job refinishing and creating and adding the “carvings” on this piece of furniture Deanna. Superb!
The detail is amazing🤯😍 So pretty!!
Amazing, this is so beautiful! Great video on “how to”. You are so inspiring!
Thank you! I’m happy to hear this!!
@@DIYDEANNA I’m just starting out to learn how to “paint” and flip furniture. You are truly an artist. 😊

I had to watch again and I just love your little chihuahua's are adorable... the little brown one is waiting for you to sit down so he(or she) can climb right up there! Adorable!
Beautiful! I would love to try your techniques on some of my furniture pieces! Hmmm...maybe someday soon! Thank you for sharing...beautifully done!

Thanks so much! I’m glad you like my technique!
This is beautiful. Love it! 💖
This DIY transformation looks amazing!🤍♡🤍♡🤍
Love this technique and your instructions are very clear!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 This video was extremely professional! Your camera work, detailed explanations and pleasant personality made it a pleasure to watch
The piece turned out beautiful and I’m inspired to try something like this with a very plain set of nightstands I have.
Stunning. I love the birds.
That was amazing, it's gorgeous. I hope someone paid you a lot of money for that. I would never have the patience to make it myself. But I can appreciate all the time you put into it. Stunning.
Beautiful until the wallpaper drawers. It clashed big-time. Could've been even more beautiful without it...
Apoxee Sculpt. Good stuff.
Beautiful. ❤️❤️Slovakia.
The wood grain paintup really makes this next-level.
(and if I find you did your monologue in one take, I'm really going to be impressed! ;) No hems, haws, stutters or missteps. Impressive. )
Very pretty. A true work of art!!
I am so excited I found your channel this morning! I absolutely LOVE this DIY piece! Crazy gorgeous! Thank you!
When sanding the doors I would have liked to see how you sanded in the grooves. This video was great though and I loved learning about the moulds.
wow! that is amazing loving the results of that resin TFS
I hope you enjoy the process if you do try it! Thanks for watching!
It’s so pretty! I feel like the stark white of the decoupage could use a brush of the stain stuff too to tone it down.
I learned some things today. Thanks!
Wow! That is amazing! You got the color for the resin pieces, spot on! It really look as if that flowers were carved out of the cabinet's wood. Well done!
This is absolutely beautiful you’re done a wonderful job, love the floral lining ❤️
Excellent tutorial! The birds are my favorite. Thanks for sharing your time & talents with me.👍🐦💜 char
Latex-free Gloves, protective Eyewear? Children free venue for fumes? -Are in the user guide for casting resin. Have you seen the Epoxy resin warning videos ? AuntieTay's 'Watch this before you' is very good.
I’ve watched many of this type of makeover. Yours is the best, especially the graining.
Beautiful! I love it! You are so very talented
Absolutely Beautiful! Would Love to try this on a piece! Thanks for the inspiration and step by step how to’s! So glad I found your videos!
I hope you give it a try! Thanks for watching!
Wonderful video and tutorial. So happy I came upon your channel so I could subscribe! Looking forward to seeing more of your DIYs.
Gorgeous! I love the wood grain idea! I noticed a few spots where a flat part of the appliqué didn’t touch the surface. Using a syringe with epoxy would fill those and prevent them from ruining the illusion.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful. I love your channel. I also have a question for you. How do you fix a small hole in a cane back chair? Someone was helping with loading a table and chairs and put their finger through one of the chairs back
Do they still have the moulds for the birds and branches you used on the drawer? I've been looking for one like that and I can't find one anywhere. Not even the Prima site!😫😫😫😂
Awesome job 👏👍 I usually use polymer clay for my furniture molds but that wouldn't hold the screw like epoxy does. Brilliant idea!
Could you drill a small hole in the clay and then super glue the screw in place? Not sure if that would work, what do you think? Thanks for watching!
@@DIYDEANNA yes but would eventually break apart the resin is so much stronger. Brilliant idea you have here.
Thanks! I hope you give it a try!
I love this! Awesome job! I'm inspired to try something like this on my bed.
Are these moulds available from Amazon please
I’m not sure, the company is called Redesign With Prima, try searching and see if they come up in your area.
It looks fabulous, can you advise what the aftercare is? For example if it were being used in the kitchen.
