Deanna, you are probably one of the most genuine makers I’ve seen on any social media. Your skills and ideas are always so fresh and exciting. Your teaching skills are easy to follow. You also show what can happen when we do it ourselves and how to “fix the mishaps”. This is beautiful and so encouraging. Thank you for a GREAT channel and for another gorgeous piece!! Keep going! Beautiful Piece!! I love it. I really appreciate watching someone who knows what they are doing. I find there are so many people on the internet who say they aren't a pro, but they still give out advice as though they are. It's extremely frustrating!! I love your black/brown & choc brown dogs, too!!! We have a 17 yr old male fawn.

You’re a good instructor (coming from a fellow instructor). Thank you for speaking and instructing clearly with only necessary info to help the viewer achieve good results. Also, thank you for not playing music as I find it very distracting (so many UA-camrs talk with music playing or blast it in between talking causing me to have to continuously adjust my volume). Can you believe I did a similar technique to this in the mid eighties? All good things come back around! :-)

Wonderful! The addition of graining really works after the wax, etc. to mimick carved wood. An observation: From the side you can see some edges of the appliques aren't flush with the surface. Spoils the illusion of carved wood. Should be filled with something to close the gap (caulking? paint? wax?)

Latex-free Gloves, protective Eyewear? Children free venue for fumes? -Are in the user guide for casting resin. Have you seen the Epoxy resin warning videos ? AuntieTay's 'Watch this before you' is very good.

I’ve watched many of this type of makeover. Yours is the best, especially the graining.

Gorgeous! I love the wood grain idea! I noticed a few spots where a flat part of the appliqué didn’t touch the surface. Using a syringe with epoxy would fill those and prevent them from ruining the illusion.

Beautiful. I love your channel. I also have a question for you. How do you fix a small hole in a cane back chair? Someone was helping with loading a table and chairs and put their finger through one of the chairs back

Do they still have the moulds for the birds and branches you used on the drawer? I've been looking for one like that and I can't find one anywhere. Not even the Prima site!😫😫😫😂

Awesome job 👏👍 I usually use polymer clay for my furniture molds but that wouldn't hold the screw like epoxy does. Brilliant idea!

    • @DIYDEANNA

Could you drill a small hole in the clay and then super glue the screw in place? Not sure if that would work, what do you think? Thanks for watching!

@@DIYDEANNA yes but would eventually break apart the resin is so much stronger. Brilliant idea you have here.

It looks fabulous, can you advise what the aftercare is? For example if it were being used in the kitchen.
