    Pretty much don’t even need the manual. I’ve built up to this point using these videos and confirmed with the drawings. Thank you so much for this! You’re a badass!

    I have never built a kit from start. And when I get my next one I want it to be a kit. Love working on them.

    What up Bro?....im just hollering at you for a min...i havent watched the build vids but i have skipped through them just to see the goblin and your progress...im still all in boats right now is all...i ordered a ofe 150amp esc and a sss4074 motor to upgrade my sonicwak v1...ironclad did that and it seems to run much faster...he needs to put adjustable trim tabs and dial it in more is all...i also went ahead and spent the money and got a Thrasher jetboat...it was really a huge decision for me to spend that kind of money but i do have a good size waist deep creek in front of my house and there is a lot of places that i could run the Thrasher in that is close to my house as well and i can use it as a rescue boat for other boats in the future...it will be here friday so i will let you know how it runs.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому

      What’s up buddy! That setup will be a beast! Play with props and that thing can really move! Adjustable trim tabs are a must on any boat to dial in your ride surface and quality. Gives you that little extra that makes a huge difference! I’ve not run any of my boats in a week or two. Been super busy with building helis! Lol the thrasher is a cool boat! I like it but can’t see the money but I do know the V3 is the best one they have made so far. It’s faster and stronger and really does great in creeks and rivers! Maybe one day I’ll get one.

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 What up bro?...ive got the sonicwake upgraded with the sss4074 and the 150amp ofe esc and i runs much faster and had more punch out of the hole...im trying to see if it will compete with the spektrum setup that is in the sonicwakeV2...so the Thrasher is a ridiculous price if all you are going to do is run the boat at a lake or pond and thats it...the Thrasher is designed to go in places that other boats cant and have the power to do all of that as well...i would not have gotten the Thrasher if it didnt have the replaceable bottom keel and i have a good size creek in front of my house to play with it in...i also have other places, including the Tennessee river that are only 5-7mins away from my house so to me it was worth the gamble and investment...we will see, im currently sitting on my front porch waiting for the ups truck to get here...i lived up in the northwest for a while after i got out of the Army and those rivers up there aint no joke...they are cold, clear and fast moving so if this thing can get up and down those rivers like in the videos then i know it has the power...anyways, i cant wait to see the goblin in the air...im putting away money for one in the future...keep on rocking bro!!!

    Hi, I am wondering why retaining compound is used on the M3 X 22 on the Bell Crank Assembly Lever when a nylon nut is used (page 25).

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому +1

      Hello, that's because the bolt is going though threads before the lock nut. does not hurt and hold makes sure nothing is going to loosen up.

    Hi there, I was wondering those Brass Grommets, are they 2.5mm hole.. I believe the servo screws are 2.5mm in the Goblin.. thanks

      Yes brass grommets are 2 1/2 mm hole and screws are 2 1/2 mm. They fit inside together perfect

    Thank you, great video! Jeff, you used Kluber micro lube. Can I use the (yellow label) Freewheel Bearings lubricant LDS from Helidirect instead of that? Theres also (from Helidirect) a black label “Grease NBU” a “Transmission Module Grease”. Are these all interchangeable? Thank you again!

    Can’t wait to get mine! I’m hoping the back orders get shipped out sooon! Quick question, do you have any tips on how tight to make the motor belt? All my helis have been/are belt driven tails so I’m good with the tension for that, but this will be my first helicopter with a motor belt/transmission. Was wondering if you have any tips on how tight to make the motor belt? Thanks! Always appreciate your willing to help.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому +1

      Thank you! Good luck on your build. It’s a INCREDIBLE heli! My favorite heli ever made. The motor belt needs to be tight but not to tight where it eats it’s self. But good pressure as your tightening it down. Feel the belt, you want it to have some spring back but not enough you can play a song. Lol

    We’re your tail grips still notchy after 5 flights? Did you end up removing/adding shims? The tail is still very/tight notchy on mine after 5 flights.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому

      They were never notchy. They were tight but never notchy, check and make sure thrust bearing don’t have loctite in them or put in the wrong way. They should tight and smooth. I never removed the shim and it’s been flying about 100 flights now and tail is super smooth. Are you having a wag?

      Hello, thank you. So that motor shaft sleeve came with the kit. You can make your own though. It’s just a peace of brass and hole for the set screw to go though.

    I wonder why the person you’re doing that for don’t do it itself that’s one of the funnest things to do in the hobby is to put it together

      Because some people don’t like to build or not good enough to build from a kit and want me to build them and setup and hand them a turn key heli. Some people just like to fly and not build. Personally I like building and working on them more then flying half the time.
