Trying to crank out videos as I can! I have so many that haven’t even been posted yet. I’m constantly videoing all day every day. I have been off of work since I got sick with pneumonia on leave and going back in a week so I’ve been using this time off to make a bunch of videos so if I have some busy work weeks and cannot film or fly there’s still videos being uploaded on the channel! Appreciate you always watching! I’m glad you can learn from my videos and you find them useful. I do remember that commercial lol boats are definitely fine! I’ve definitely been enjoying mine. Brings back lots of great memories from my childhood. I don’t know what it is but something about going to the water and driving a boat it’s just relaxing and enjoyable. That will be cool if you put floats on the M2! Something different
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I pretty well know that I'm unlikely to use anything but the 760R in anything big enough to use. The real limit is that governor doesn't really do 200 size RPM range. I have a Ikon 2 in my Oxy 2, everything else is 760R. My flight area is surrounded by tall trees and it is often windy. Very turbulent many days. The 760R nearly erases it. It's pretty magical that way.
I’ve not messed with the 760R, I’m not a futaba person. Are used to only fly Futaba many years ago. And they royally screwed me and cost me a ton of money so now I will badmouth them any chance I get lol I really do not like their radios that is when I switched to JR and then Spektrum. I really like the Ikon FBL. They are fantastic and the Microbeast is just a easy and good flying FBL.

Just received my Raw, so watching these videos has been excellent prep work A couple of newbie questions. 1) Where did you get the brass servo grommets? 2) How you clean the bolts before applying the thread lock?
Thank you! So heli direct sells the brass torque servo grommets. Just search on their website. Are use regular 90% rubbing alcohol and a small Tupperware. I just clean the screws as I go. I put them in the little Tupperware for a minute or two and then take them off and dry them with a microfiber rag.

SO i ordered the same servos also, I am confused those arms you said came with the servos then you said they are SAB arms? So witch ones. I am not sure if i need to order other arms for it? Also what are those brass inserts called or you have a model number for them? do i need to use those the Rubber and brass that come with the servos won't work? Thanks
Yes, all build videos are on the channel. You don’t need the SAB servos arms. It’s a option if you would like to use them Arms but I run the metal arms that come with the Torq servos and they also include plastic arms. The brass inserts are Torq washers, you will need three sets of the mini and one set of the full size. I don’t run the rubber servo grommets on anything other then nitro as they allow the servo to move a little but you can if you like. You should try the Promodeler mini cyclic servos , the specs are outstanding . I just did a Tron 5.5 build with the promodeler mini servos , and that thing is amazing !

Thank you, DSMX satellite are perfect if you’re running spektrum. It will be a 4 part series. There is a lot to fit into each video LOL trying to touch on every step of the manual. I will be making a full in-depth Ikon setup video. But I can save he Ikon file and send it to you if you need it. Just need a few more flights for perfect tuning but it’s really close to perfect.
the hobbywing esc in which mode have you set it ? and the Freewheeling setting Did you leave it on or off? I want to use this esc with the flybarless controller. ??
@@westhobbiesrc8051 my motor egodrift 4025hs 550kv wants timing 9° and standard timing in hobbywing is15° and 15° the motor it heats up even if it just spins main axis without blade and head. Why 15° timing is high

When running spektrum, do i need 2 of the dsmx sattelite recievers? Or is 1 good enough? Do you run 2 of them on every heli build you do? Can i just use 1 Srxl2 reciever? Sorry... just a newb, and not sure the difference between the dsmx, and the srxl2, and the number of them i need?
@@dhandmg it all depends on the helicopter, one SRXL2 is probably just fine but on models like the kraken that’s full carbon I like to make sure I’ve got RX every direction as it’s a cheap insurance policy, adding one satellite and one SRXL2.

@ you will LOVE the RAW 580. Still my favorite heli ever Made! With the RAW just using one SRXL2 will be perfect and you won’t have any issues. I’m glad my videos are helpful and can guide you along your build!
I don't trust any R/C manufacturer with what they say has been preconstructed. The only thing I don't open up and redo is when a bearing is installed already and has green Loctite already applied. Otherwise, I take it apart. Just to make sure it's greased where they say it's greased, and that all the screws are properly tightened, and Loctited, if needed. You'll eventually have to take them apart for maintenance anyway. The shims don't have anything to do with lining the holes up. They are for play of the pulley. One shim is usually all you need. Very cool Heli! I'm currently building a Goblin 380 Buddy.

Thank you! It is a very beautiful model! Yes I will be flying it and doing the maiden and setup flights. When I build helis for people I do the full build setup and flights so that way it’s turn key ready when they get it. Paramotors can be fun!

What up bro?....BRO!!!...no wonder horizon hobby had their sonicwake on sale...they were getting rid of the V1 stock to make room for the sonicwake V2...the V2 has spektrum electonics and already comes with adjustable trim fins and duel cooling!!!...i would get the V2 if you are looking into the sonicwake...its cheaper than getting the V1 and buying all the upgrades...horizon hobby be pissing me off sometimes!!!...lol
Well it’s a buddy, I was told there was a new boat coming but I had no idea it was a V2 sonic week. I didn’t think they were going to do a V2. But they did some nice changes that’s for sure! And for $20 more than the original definitely not a bad deal.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 What up bro?...so the sonicewake v2 is probably a great buy right now because it already has all the upgrades that you would do with the v1 BUT since you are already experienced in boats then i would suggest "TFL" products or a great quality gas/electric boat from somebody that specializes in them...the sonicewake is great but since ive been around boats my whole life, i quickly see the need for a strong well built product...the horizon hobby stuff is good but if you want to have something great then ive learned that you have to build it yourself or get it from people that specialize in that particular product...im all about boats right now and im considering something from "TFL" that is gas powered for my next expensive build:)

Got a boatload of spares for it and it’s a tarot 450…. Align is inspiring this…. But $10-25 for a specific kind of landing we call it a good beater… abusing it while building serious stuff
The amount of times he says "I am going to go ahead and ..." is unbelievable. Its the reason I stop watching because I can't listen to that over and over and over.

Everything is stocked, exception of BEC voltage in the Hobbywing Settings.
