I saw a video of her reacting to a tween girl who had a reaction to a clay mask (mom who had posted it said so in the original vid’s description and comments) saying it was terrible how the girl had been allowed to use “harsh chemicals” and retinol?? Like the derm literally just pulled that claim out of her ass with no evidence and used someone’s red face to fear monger around gen alpha / Sephora kids. And when I calmly called her out on this in the comments sharing what the mom had said happened and that I also get this exact reaction from most clay masks as an adult, she deleted my comment and blocked me!
Can there be legislation that slaps a fine on social media platforms that don’t properly implement age restrictions. It’s sad because there’s so much inappropriate content on these platforms and kids are having easy access to it. What is going on with these parents.
The only problem would be enforcement of age restrictions on a mass scale. How do you keep kids from lying about their birthday? Would they have to submit a valid school ID as proof of age? How would that information be stored securely Remember, these cards (likely uploaded as a photo) have their full names, grade level the name of their school, and a photo of them.
@@emilynordt153 Modern parents are the teenagers who were lying about their internet use and social media accounts- shouldn’t they be more aware? The AI generated faces are honestly so creepy. recently I've seen an influx of "celebrities" promoting certain game ads and it's obvious they're using deepfake. Regarding the posters dividing influencers with 1 mill or less, it's definitely a turn off, because it's like dividing people based on social class. Whether the brand who's leading the event is famous or not and that they made it as a joke, I rather not go or stop associating myself with them. Also, haven't there been issues from influencer trips/events where even the room size seem to depend on the no. of followers or how BIPOC influencers seems to treated less than the more famous ones.
The AI stuff is mind blowing, but i was definitely getting uncanny valley with the shower wipes ad. I was so relieved when you said it was AI, i thought i was going crazy! 😂

I saw an advertisement for being a psychologist but it had an AI picture of two people crying dramatically. I was so offput. I was put off by it like it disgusted me.
Blaming brands for kids just using their product is ridiculous. The brand isn't advertising to children, they can't stop kids from using it. Just makes no sense. These kids want to play influencer and feel special. It's like dress up on steroids. The brands are not to blame, this is a larger social issue.
That A.I ad looked very off. Especially the way it talked, I could hear the A.I reading the script including the full stops of each sentence. It’s scary that the A.I is probably listening to all the feedback and learning to fix those abnormalities to look more real in the future😰 Why did we ever go down this path?😭
could you IMAGINE, the amount of kids that would love a brand that takes similar aesthetics from brands like glow recipe, drunk elephant etc, and makes kid-friendly products? moisturisers, serums, balms, creams, but all make with ingredients that are either very low in actives, or contain natural ingredients? i think its amazing that something like that hasn’t appeared yet! it would be so successful, and would fill a huge gap in the market. not to mention, there’s no reason why sephora couldn’t stock it - that way, these kids still get the “grown up” experience of shopping at a makeup store, but actually have options that are suitable to their age range. at the end of the day, you can’t stop kids from doing what they want to do, so you may as well try to accommodate them in a safe and healthy way. idk just my opinion, if anyone steals this idea pls credit me thanks

Your skin is looking mighty juicy today, sir❤
Ik what you mean but completely out of context it sounds kinda creepy lol
@ariannasv22 what do you mean out of context? If you're reading the comment, then you're on James' video, and you know James is a skincare creator. I'm sure I sound creepy, that's fine, but idk how someone could possibly read it without any context, ya know?
Would love to see these type of videos weekly! 🖤💜
My uncanny valley senses always get activated by the ai videos. Just. Hmm no
Okay thank you for talking about this dermatologist!
I know back in the day with Facebook and MySpace people would just lie about age and then not tell there parents about the accounts.
That’s what I think as one of those teenagers grown up 🥴 I have absolutely no intentions of allowing my children unmonitored, unfettered internet access at all, let alone let them use it without having discussed safety at length.
I don’t know anyone currently who would let their kids have free access so I have nobody to ask, what are they thinking?? 🤣
Tennessee just passed something similar.
Nah I don't want you or the legislatute deciding what's appropriate for children. We should focus on banning misleading and predatory advertising for all ages and giving parents and children the resources to regulate what children see themselves.
Yes, weekly please!
I like the idea of weekly updates and not just monthly!
Yes to weekly video like this!
Absolutely love country music James & your right… what a great way to explain it which I can totally get on board with… ‘it really transports you somewhere’, indeed it does hon! Country music is a story sung beautifully to me & I love ❤️ it 😊 xxx
Please do this frequently. Information we all need to be aware of
I would LOVE to see these once a week! ❤
The problem is that a lot of these companies are using people who DONT consent, like what happened with footdocdana
BABYCHAM!! I thought for a minute that no one's going to understand that reference. I've been looking for that since call the midwife! Then I thought it's probably been re-released. It has! Thanks for the tip
Lolol I think country music is transporting me to a different place than it transports you 😅
The AI generated faces are honestly so creepy. recently I've seen an influx of "celebrities" promoting certain game ads and it's obvious they're using deepfake.
'you wouldn't show your kid bad baby' incredible
yes PLEEEEASE go with weekly ones! i know i'm not alone when i say that these are sooooo fun to watch.
also, i definitely agree that the makeup wipes rules are a good step in the right direction!
Yesss I love the little news week videos
I love getting this sort of information from you as I don’t follow a lot of beauty creators, so I’d definitely watch if you made more
Wait -the JayZ had me laughing so hard!
I love country music but I also live in the southern part of the US.
"That's like saying you can only YOLO once..."😂💀
The signs were hilarious 😂 and that lady needs a sense of humour 🤦🏼♀️😅
I was sipping hot coffee when Jay z popped up and I choked 😹
I saw an advertisement for being a psychologist but it had an AI picture of two people crying dramatically. I was so offput. I was put off by it like it disgusted me.
Blaming brands for kids just using their product is ridiculous. The brand isn't advertising to children, they can't stop kids from using it. Just makes no sense. These kids want to play influencer and feel special. It's like dress up on steroids. The brands are not to blame, this is a larger social issue.
Show us your fingers to prove you're the real James, and not ai 🖐️
Literally was yelling 'blink!' when the one ai was talking haha
That first AI was honestly so creepy and weird and I was so confused when I thought it was real
My little conspiracy theory brain skips straight to 'and this is how we are all someday going to be replaced by AI.'
That A.I ad looked very off. Especially the way it talked, I could hear the A.I reading the script including the full stops of each sentence. It’s scary that the A.I is probably listening to all the feedback and learning to fix those abnormalities to look more real in the future😰 Why did we ever go down this path?😭
I will support whatever frequency feels comfortable for you👍🏾
could you IMAGINE, the amount of kids that would love a brand that takes similar aesthetics from brands like glow recipe, drunk elephant etc, and makes kid-friendly products? moisturisers, serums, balms, creams, but all make with ingredients that are either very low in actives, or contain natural ingredients? i think its amazing that something like that hasn’t appeared yet! it would be so successful, and would fill a huge gap in the market. not to mention, there’s no reason why sephora couldn’t stock it - that way, these kids still get the “grown up” experience of shopping at a makeup store, but actually have options that are suitable to their age range. at the end of the day, you can’t stop kids from doing what they want to do, so you may as well try to accommodate them in a safe and healthy way. idk just my opinion, if anyone steals this idea pls credit me thanks
3:34 OMG the whole time watching I was thinking, "this is so weird, why is this so weird. Is she just realy bad at acting?" Geez AI is truly so terrifying.
