Hi Phil, I have my test coming up and I just wanted to ask if I was coming the opposite way shown in the video and wanted to turn on the second left would I indicate before entering the junction or after passing the first left
Hi great question. You could actually indicate before the junction to turn left. As you know on approach to a junction to turn 2nd left, you normally wait till you are level or just past the first junction then signal, but because they are light controlled, the traffic to your left are on red light, so the signal you give is not misleading as they can't go. So on approach if you're given the direction to turn 2nd left, then put your signal on as you approach the lights. I hope that makes sense. Best of luck with your test
Hi Phil I have my test coming up in Buxton and your videos are really helping! Can I ask Is it the same procedure for the first right turning, do I have to wait in the middle or do I go straight through from the lights?
Hi, Great question. The same applies. Whether you're turning the first or second right, oncoming traffic has right of way. So you're still heading for the same line to position in the middle of the road, but not as far. Hope that helps. Good luck with your test, let me know how it goes
Hi So if you have a roundabout with just 2 exits, one left and one right, then stay in the right hand lane to turn right. If you have a roundabout with a left, a straight ahead and then a right, stay right. So any roundabout where you need to take a right exit, position right and remember to check your left mirror and signal left as you exit. Hope this helps
