nonp i wanted it to look like a shrunk down larger yacht from years ago. Of course more work was needed to make this happen. Thank you👍🏻⛵️

Perfecto indeed. You have perfected the pocketship Scott. Your work is an inspiration to anyone contemplating this, or any build. Imagination, execution, excellence. How can I not subscribe? I'm looking forward to more. Best wishes from Canada.

I would love to try to build one of these kits. I've been a chesapeake bay sailor my whole life, and pocket ship looks like a dream for the bay's shallow water, but I have zero boat building experience

Jack Dodsworth I may be selling Perfecto next season. I’m building another boat.

I'm thinking this craft hits all the right notes...shallow draft, nice modern design, portable, sea-worthy, nice cabin. I have a bigger boat with a slip in a marina and the amount of time I can go out with people = avg 6 times a summer. No marina, single-handed sailing = more time on the water, in more bodies of water.

Don Noone I agree with all of your points. I have the Lazy Lucy cat boat and she is in her slip more than sailing. This little boat can go anywhere.🤗🤗⛵️⛵️

I viewing postings here, as if it was "school", as I contemplate building a boat. I've built things, but as for boats? only a lapstraked 10 foot rowboat 30+ years ago. I'm curious to know what that box is - see at about 12:20 in the video. You said something like "door rod", or "dull rod" (?). Whether I ever build or not, I think your video will make a fine impression on me :-)

potatoecouch thanks, I probably said dorad box?? These are the air inlet boxes in the bow of the boat that permit air to get into the cabin. Enjoy your build👍🏻👍🏻⛵️⛵️

Scott, great video -- I'm really enjoying watching your progress with this project. The customizations you've made to the base CLC design are great...Where are you based out of? I'm a Lancaster, PA native and wanted to know if you were local. I'd love to see this thing on the water when you finish it.

Jonathan Schwetz sorry I’m late in getting back to you. I am in the Mechanicsburg, Pa area and often sail her on Pinchot Lake, sometimes Lake. Marburg down in Hanover. And Chesapeake Bay.

    Hi Scott. Nice work.
Is the peel ply making the cured epoxy smoother & giving you less sanding to do?

Edward Lahr I would say with all that I did in modifications and a motor 20k A lot for such a small craft but worth every penny to me🤗🤗⛵️⛵️

it's very annoying that when you finally get the camera far back enough to see something beside gunky wood, you cut to another piece of gunky wood. great boat, but .....your photography leave a LOT to be desired

A real shame that as usual crappy music ruins this video and makes it virtually unwatchable. I know that it is from 2016, but even in 2016 I could easily normalize the volume on a multi-track recording. Just not worth the trouble to have to keep working the volume button constantly to hear the barely audible narration, and then to mute the overly loud crappy music.
up, down, up, down, up, down goes the volume on nearly all of these you-tube videos... 2020 now, and video creators will never learn that we didn't click the video to hear your favorite music selection at volumes that are guaranteed to wake my room-mate at 5am...

The volume of the music ruined it.
    Nice work. Bad music..

    • @brecsoks

Not the music itself but the loudness of it. It kills the narration. Breathtaking work, and I feel like I was there during the process. But I am sure Scott did not pump up the volume in the shop all the time he finished a sentence. Well, this makes the whole video not the tiniest bit less valuable to me. Thank you for uploading it, Scott!
