He was a student of University College where I was a student 1982 - 84. Never met him again. He grown to a great director and become Chairman of Kerala State Film Development Corporation.
Good movie of great Swathy thirunal... Even though, British rule interference in the story, Importance was given to music and art in film. All actors excellent in their roles. Anand nag 👍 Murali as SG marar excels in brief role... Worth watching..

The Rani was useless giving full power to the British and thereby weakening the Travancore army once and for ever.. Even the Diwan during that time was British called Munro.. The converted Christians slowly gained upper hand with the help of British in Travancore.. Swathi Thirunal in this movie was not at all happy with the things his forefathers had done..
Majority of Christians in Kerala are Syrian Christians , Christians converted Christians were few ...learn history..most of the famous churches in Kerala are more than 1200 years old...nine Churches are more than 1900 years old..
the gharba srimaans childhood is not portrayed at all. edit ; shatkala govinda maaraar , asthana vidwan is portrated as beggar . was he not paid at all .

If God, the Almighty appears before me and asks what I would wish--- you know what I would ask? --- I want to meet face-to-face with the three actors portrayed as the maharaja Swathi, the maharani, and the narthaki Sugandhavalli.. I know it's not possible... Again I may never know! I am living in the distant U.S. and they are in the southern India. Butt he Travancore kings followed the matrilineal system and HRH Swati Tirunal was succeeded by his younger brother , who was succeeded by their nephew. The King's wife or children had no claim to the throne. The sister of the king was usually crowned as the Maharani and it was her son or daughtet who was crowned the next king/ regent queen.
Maharaja had a son named Ananthapadmanabhan Chemkaraman Thampi born from Ayikutty Narayani Pillai of Thiruvattar Ammaveedu. Suganandhavali was married to Rajan in 1843. She was adopted to Vadassery Ammaveedu. But after the Rajas death, all helps and financial aid to her and family was stopped by Rajas successor
No im visited his Mansion called kuthiramalika, Thrivananthapuram,from there i bought a narrator and she said that as per the vastu ( means the architectual variations that used when we building a house ) the rajas seat and the decision making courtyard vastu was wrong so based on that the rajas death should happen at his younger age..
