Caught the notification this time! Anyway, 240p Test Suite is awesome, I have in every console I can, and the PSP makes a lot of sense when one is out to get a new CRT, I downloaded it, thanks for sharing a link. Oh, and before I got an NES with RGB or a Wii, I used the It Might Be NES emulator, with the PSIO, which I see you still have, I have mine too. I sent a SCPH-5903 motherboard to Matt down under, he's looking into compatibility, and maybe even adding VCD playback via the PSIO! Since that particular console does not like modchips, as it breaks VCD playback compatibility, the PSIO as the only viable option to have an ODE-style solution for that particular version. Anyway, nice video as usual, buddy. Loved the skit at the end.
🙏 thank you! I was also using the NES emulator for 240p output before I moved onto an NESRGB and eventually the Mister FPGA. As negatively as the PSIO gets talked about I absolutely love mine. Having the ability to play CD’s and from the SD card is huge even though there’s some stuffing around with file conversion. Thanks again for stopping by, glad you liked the end skit he he
@@MarcoRetro316 Yes, there's a lot of drama surrounding PSIO, I know all about it. I stay out of fanboyism of any kind, but I love to grab some popcorn and watch the online nerd battles that ensue, which on this case, was a jolly good show to watch, a couple of years back. Quietly, that is, as an observer. For me, mostly because of the conversion process and some compatibility issues (it let me down with Symphony of the Night, had to learn to migrate my PS1 saves to PC to finish it on emulation, for example), I no longer use it after acquiring XStation. However, I have no intentions of hating the damn thing or getting rid of it, as like you said, it's still relevant if you want to keep a console or two with disc reading functionality intact, which is a must for my VCD PS1. Also, it was the only option for years and brought me many hours of joy along the way, so yeah, it's all good.
I’ve heard nothing but great things for Xstation. Since the Mister project came along it’s been my challenge to pack away as many consoles as I can so I’ve made the PS1 with PSIO my gaming meet-up console for now. Plus, PS1 on Mister=seamless widescreen 😉
@@MarcoRetro316 Yes, it works very well. As for MODE, I have it because of hard drive support, so you can fit the whole library there without having to deal with SD cards, but I want to install the PS1Digital I have here with it, but it's beyond my soldering abilities. And MISTer sounds pretty good, I look forward to getting one in the future as well. Lol, I get what you're going for on downsizing, but I'm the opposite of you on that one, with dumb stuff like getting a second Hyperscan this month, just because it comes with the damn cards... it's an awful thing, collecting. At least I don't worry about games, as for me it's all about the flashcarts and ODEs though, there's no shelves full of games here. But yeah, no doubt, a MISTer can pretty much replace everything in a heartbeat and offer even more, stuff like even a Game & Watch core.
wow.. this is GREAT method that I can test before I buy CRT LOL!!.... I was carrying Wii to test :(
Soo this was you to then 😂4:38 Thanks and glad it was helpful!
Really useful stuff! Also great for testing CRTs outside of the permanent setup.

Love it
Great i was about to convert the ps1 emu into eboot
Great minds think alike my friend ;)
I actually used a DSC W80 camera from sony, has composite output and you can just put a png image in it to be shown in the tv.
Very intuitive
Is that a 20L4?
L5 so it’s multi format. I was gonna show 480p using the PSP test suite but figured it’s an even smaller use case
