true. and they will never come back again. i was 14 when UT99 released and played it online. it was my second online shooter, after half life deathmatch. so it felt special and new. playing online against people that live on another continent was mindblowing. all that magic, is just gone
I came back here after the Amazon show, Secret Level and the Unreal Tournament episode. I would have loved if they featured your work or any music in Unreal. It would have been lovely. So here I am. Listening to all your music again after countless times to relive how it feels to be playing Unreal Tournament.

Mechanism 8 has been one of the best ever Unreal tunes and you managed to bring even more "life" to some of its parts while you preserved the original as a whole. Tops every version I have heard including the original. This also goes for your version of Go Down. This is what people call an "eargasm" :)

idk I like the UT3 Foregone Destruction more the original is an instant classic and will remain eternally remembered ... but there's just something about UT3's deep synth rythm that makes it a bit more appealing
This is because this stuff here is often more like a "Remastered" or updated version, that sounds almost exactly like the original just with better samples and more quality. While the other remakes by Rom Di Prisco and co are, well, Remakes or Remixes which are SUPPOSED to stray a bit from the original. Either way I like all versions and think every artist did great work. The UT3 soundtrack was on fire and definitely ahead of UT2004... I didnt like much of Kevin Riepls stuff, was too Orchestral for my taste. Yet I do have to admit Hyperblast Redux (Which however is a Go Down remix) and tracks like Atlantis are great. But that is definitely the minority. I liked Starsky Patriadges stuff (Level 1-16) way more since it sounded closer to the original Electronics. Pretty much all of UT99 and UT3 tracks are great to me.

My favourite remix of Necto Ulin i already loved the original track but this blows me away. I shared it with every one i know. I hear it nearly every day it is a reason why i am a patreon now. So much energy and motivation in this a very powerful song so creatively diverse solved.

Unreal Tournament, the king of Arena shooters back in 1999; capable of running in both software or hardware mode, which it gave it a lot of exposure to those who only had potato pc's (Quake 3 only had hardware support to its Demo and Full Game). Direct competitor of Quake 3, Tribes 2 and other less known Arena shooters.

Однако, есть пара моментов - главный мотив mech8 еле слышим, можно услышать твое решение, выполненное при помощи собственных инструментов, но его по громкости затмевает бит (у меня плохо с определениями в музыке :D), тоже самое и с "мостиком" с 2:52. Насколько я понимаю из комментариев, планируется небольшое редактирование, если Mechanism Eight будет включен в этот список, то есть все шансы, что он станет лучшим ремиксом в коллекции, как никак, одна из самых любимых мелодий в сообществе UT, вызывающая хорошие воспоминания ;)

Мне тоже понравилось, как неоригинальная басовая линия встроилась в трек, кажется, я вдохновлялся второй Матрицей, когда ее писал, могу спецбонусом выложить короткий кусочек где она играет отчетливо, почти без инструментов и перкуссии, я в процессе создания как раз такой сделал ;) Розамунд Пайк - отличный выбор, я определенно ее поклонник, особенно после Дума и Исчезнувшей ))
Excellent job again! (I still hope for the Run remix :) ) Also, I think all your UT remixes should be in UT4, since they're perfect remixes of the classic tracks and they would add much to the nostalgy factor and to the overall feel of the game. They would be a nice touch.

@@NectoUlin I used to really like slowing down this track back in the day - slowing yours to 7 minutes makes it sound so "epic" (pun intended) - especially around 5:38
They saying that there is no easy task/job to recreate a masterpice, but you did that and even more with just slight additions! Kudos to you! If epic not use your tracks, then we will go to them with flack cannons ;)

You are doing a great job with these. What's happening between 4:20 and 5:20 is why I keep my subscription even if you output things very seldom! Your mixes really takes the original music to new levels and it fits a modern UT so well, much better so than the music did in UT3. I hope you don't get burnt out on making these any soon, cause I really want that Underworld 2 mix! Put up a paypal donation button somewhere...

Однако, есть пара моментов - главный мотив mech8 еле слышим, можно услышать твое решение, выполненное при помощи собственных инструментов, но его по громкости затмевает бит (у меня плохо с определениями в музыке :D), тоже самое и с "мостиком" с 2:52. Насколько я понимаю из комментариев, планируется небольшое редактирование, если Mechanism Eight будет включен в этот список, то есть все шансы, что он станет лучшим ремиксом в коллекции, как никак, одна из самых любимых мелодий в сообществе UT, вызывающая хорошие воспоминания ;)

Мне тоже понравилось, как неоригинальная басовая линия встроилась в трек, кажется, я вдохновлялся второй Матрицей, когда ее писал, могу спецбонусом выложить короткий кусочек где она играет отчетливо, почти без инструментов и перкуссии, я в процессе создания как раз такой сделал ;)
Розамунд Пайк - отличный выбор, я определенно ее поклонник, особенно после Дума и Исчезнувшей ))
