theres definetly been a demise in video game soundtracks.... I think so many people would just have their own music in the background of playing i..e a UT2020 that they just cant be bothered to write all these unique EDM tracks.
I was a teenager in 1999 and I would regularly refuse to go out with my friends on Friday nights because I just wanted to stay and play UT99. I would wait for that moment all week.
I've stumbled upon your channel and the UT remixes are incredible. They're not remixes, they're recreations. Updating the sound to today's standards while preserving the feeling and the authenticity of the original work, it's amazing.
Listening to all these remixes and I'm floored by the fact that these mostly sound almost identical the original vision, just extrapolated to CD-Quality standards. Though I can feel a lot of personal touches added, which prevents it from just being re-treading of old grounds - it's a tasteful extension! No doubt in my mind that the original Foregone Destruction would have sounded exactly like this had it not been made in UMX format. The originals are unbeatable... but these are pretty close.

Oh my, coming back to this again and listening evokes so many wonderful hazy memories of playing this map into the small hours of the night, learning the optimum routes and translocator jump techniques for long range map hopping, competing in tourneys, going to LAN, then when i wasn't playing, sitting and tweaking my 3dfx drivers to get max FPS... 😅 I still have a real soft spot for UT99. What a franchise, and this tune is timeless. Tastefully remixed as well. ❤

The effort, emotion and attention to detail that you put in every single one of these tracks that evokes both the original feel of the track harkening back nearly twenty years ago, and infuses it with a fresh shot of new energy that can only be achieved by someone who truly appreciates the music. You're a credit to your cause, as an artist and talented individual indeed. You have managed to nail favorite after favorite of my songs with Skyward Fire (CTF-Lavagiant), Save Me (DM-Morpheus), and now another masterpiece here in Foregone Destruction (CTF-FacingWorlds if anyone could ever forget). I await the day eagerly that you put your talented hand to my all time favorite track, "Enigma". Until then, you make an old Arena player proud. Well done sir.

Чувак, оч круто. То, что не использовал оригинальные сэмплы и хорошо, и плохо. К примеру, те жёсткие нотки пианино между переходами творили магию.
И хотелось бы слышать в ритме фланжер для иммитации того стереоэфекта барабанов как был в оригинале.
Чувствуется, что ты реально старался, особенно радуют новые нотки - особенно в тему. Спасибо за ностальгию в новом цвете в любом случае.

I always was and always will be more of Quake person.
But I can appreciate good music in a good competitor my favorite had back then.
And this remix... is like a deep lake in the night.
You float and look up... watching the stars.
So poetic \o/ And so contrasts with Your quake's personality, You looks like a secret fan of Unreal 1, haha xD

@@nectoulin I can't really listen to it consciously for some reason, it makes me trip so much I kinda loose my ground haha, and then I regain consciousness when the track ends ! I guess that means you did well. Especially considering this is probably the best track in the original OST, doing a remix was no easy task I presume.
