I’m a life long penn state fan. The white out is the best tradition in college football, the Iowa wave is the best tradition in the history of mankind.
Any child sick or hurt or having to fight for their lives seeing it just tears me up if anyone reads this please take a minute and bow your head and pray for those beautiful children please.
Huge Tennessee fan here, so no Iowa bias when I say ... This is BY FAR the greatest tradition in college football! More than the Vol Walk, Rocky Top and even running through the "T" . Absolutely amazing.
I am a huge Badger fan from southwest Wisc. A big fan of "jump around" that takes place at the end of the 3rd quarter at Camp Randall in Madison. But what takes place at Kinnick Stadium with the players, coaches and fans all waving to the sick children and their families is absolutely the most amazing thing I have ever witnesses at a sporting event. Period. Way to go Iowa!!!
The best college football tradition ever. It's not even close. Just became aware of it today. I don't care if Iowa ever wins another game. Their university, their program, their fans and their players will always be champions in my book.. I'm a cynic and hate efforts to try and manipulate me but this is real, important and beautiful.
I tell almost anyone who will listen about this and pull this video up a lot. I still get chills and a little bit choked up. Just a little reminder that sometimes, people aren’t so bad. Props to University of Iowa for the best tradition in all of sports
One of the most BEAUTIFUL GESTURES I have ever SEEN. The UNIVERSITY OF IOWA and VISITING TEAM, here the OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL TEAM, waving to the to the children on the top floor of the Children's Hospital. Not just the teams, everyone is waving. This is FANTASTIC, GOD BLESS THE IOWA HAWKEYES.
Good old midwestern charm and love. I was born in DC and never learned compassion and empathy until I moved to Nebraska. Love my midwesterners. They just mind their business and live life.
Whoever had the idea to put the pediatric hospital next to the stadium with that view needs a big pat on the back and an even bigger hug. Remember being a kid and college football players were like demigods? Now imagine how these kids must feel to have them all taking a minute to wave and acknowledge you! It's painful, sad and totally inspiring all at the same time! As a life long Michigan fan and Big Ten fan I have nothing but huge respect for the Hawkeyes; even if Kinnick Stadium has been the site of many shattered seasons. Go Blue, Go Hawkeyes!
As an Iowa State fan, and alumni, i can only hold admiration for a program that while bitter rivals conduct themsleves with class in unbelievable ways. From one grateful ISU father who once used the UofI Childrens Hospital........GO HAWKS!Keep in mind, at least they didn't say Ohio or Idaho! Only those of us from Iowa will get that. lol
There's some things that you just have to put aside the rivalry for, this is defiantly one of them. I'm a diehard Hawkeye but I don't hate State, just when they play us haha. I hope your child is well...Go Hawks!
Buckeye fan here and I'm really honored we were able to be part of this. Massive respect for the Hawkeyes, there's nothing quite like the big ten!
Shouldn't take football to bring us together. Man i wish the world would change
Now that SC is in the Bug 10, I'm going back to see all of these midwest traditions 😂
The best new tradition in college football.
Billy Sou I agree
I’m a life long penn state fan. The white out is the best tradition in college football, the Iowa wave is the best tradition in the history of mankind.
Totally agree 110%
@@ZacBLive Mad respect, mate. I'm a current Hawkeye and I have to agree with this.
Any child sick or hurt or having to fight for their lives seeing it just tears me up if anyone reads this please take a minute and bow your head and pray for those beautiful children please.
Texas fan here.. I would love to be a part of that wave, and I’m so proud of Iowa for doing that for the little ones.
I’m moved to tears. Thank you all for thinking of our little once.
As an Ohio State fan, dotting the eye is no longer the best tradition in college football. AWESOME JOB, IOWA!!!!!!! Big 10 proud!!!
This is so special and a moment none of those kids will forget.
Huge Tennessee fan here, so no Iowa bias when I say ... This is BY FAR the greatest tradition in college football! More than the Vol Walk, Rocky Top and even running through the "T" . Absolutely amazing.

I bought tickets to the Michigan Iowa game and traveled from Michigan just to be apart of this.
Just a reminder to always remain grateful
I tell almost anyone who will listen about this and pull this video up a lot. I still get chills and a little bit choked up. Just a little reminder that sometimes, people aren’t so bad. Props to University of Iowa for the best tradition in all of sports
That's literally the sweetest gesture in all of sports lol

Reason why top 10 teams have a hard time against iowa here. Inspiring! Go hawks! Respect from Michigan State.
Thanks javi009z. Michigan St and their fans have always been respected by Hawkeyes................You're good people.
Go Blue! Lol.
But more importantly, those kids need a lot, and what they're doing in Iowa City is a 110% class act.
Never been prouder to be an Iowan
I’m so glad to hear that

Amazing! love is in the air!!
Such an easy but wonderful thing .... as my Mom used to say "Win-Win"
For some reason, I just started think about this while sitting on my couch and decided to look it up here on UA-cam. Prayers.
YAY!!! A WAVE OF LOVE💗😍😍😍👋
Well done Iowa.
The wave has been added to the new ncaa football game
i couldn’t help but look it up & man i think this is the best tradition in any sport
Love this so so much
I want to make it to one of y'all's football games just to do that! I find it impressive as well that the other opposing teams wave !
God bless those precious children. Go Hawkeyes

Hey got to have massive respect for Carson King as well will all the money he raised for the hospital
That's class.
As a buckeye fan, Iowa is a class act program from the ANF campaign to this. Two thumbs up for the Hawks!
My favorite college tradition
Absolutely fantastic. Great job iowa.✝️🇺🇲
God Bless
I look forward to doing this in 3 weeks
😢🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Children getting cancer is the only reason I question if a god exist - it breaks my heart to see them fight for something they don’t understand 💔
nothing is like the hawkeyes
Ohio State 24
Iowa 55
Marco Plays REALLY that was the score?
ImAFox 842428 yes
Blessings! Off this and the hand holding as a team coming out to play. When NCAA Football 23 comes out I'm going to Iowa. 💪🏾💯❤
As an Iowa State fan I hate Iowa but this is awsome
Waving 👋 From Michigan to The little Iowa State Hawkeyes Fans get well soon
Aaaawwwww
So sweet
I was there
Wow!💙..
This is a cute story
It's the best tradition yet. Which college or pro football team can top this?
14 people went thumbs down here.....seek psychological help immediately...
I’m a Hawkeye fan and I have yet to join the big wave it’s one of my goals!
DAMM ALERGIES😭😭
There is a reason the Midwest is called "The Heartland."
The world ain't a bad place after all
Especially in moments like this
🤘💖
Never forget the innocents.
This is what makes Americans great people.
Come On. Can’t have one moment for Iowa without mentioning the goddamn buckeyes
Oh wow 9 dislikes
Go Hawks!
The real question is why is a children's hospital built right next to the stadium wouldn't it get to loud for a hospital
Roman That was the point of it being built there, to encourage the kids.
The rest of the University Hospital is connected. The old childrens hospital is right behind the new one.
For 6 or 7 weekends out of the year? What a dumbass response.
Many universitys have medical buildings attached. Good for the students.
#tradition. Next question.
Notification squad!
Go hawks.
Let’s go buckeyes
Neil.The.Young.Baller 12 They got smoked
Iowa has bad corn, but a wonderful tradition.
