University of Kentucky Wildcat fan here. Sending much love to all the kids at the hospital. Prayers for all their families, the medical team dedicated to them, and to Hawkeye Nation. Nothing but highest respect for this simple, powerful, concept. Goosebumps. God's work.
I was born and raised in Tennessee, therefore I am a Volunteers fan. But, this simple gesture from the Iowa players and fans to those kids brought me to tears. I myself, was born with several deformities, and was in the hospital the better part of the first two years of my life. I was born with a cleft palate, had heart failure, and was on life support for two weeks. Here I am, 40 years old, and tearing up just seeing these kids trying to find some normality in their worst times by watching a football game. And, to have all the players and fans turn to acknowledge them for just a minute is simply amazing. I think I have just found a spot to place Iowa as another one of my favorite teams, along with my Vols.
Hawkeye fan or not, this is truly amazing. One simple gesture can make such a difference in these kids lives. Proud to be an Iowan and even more proud to be a Hawkeye. Go Hawks!
As an Iowa State fan, and alumni, i can only hold admiration for a program that while bitter rivals conduct themsleves with class in unbelievable ways. From one grateful ISU father who once used the UofI Childrens Hospital........GO HAWKS!Keep in mind, at least they didn't say Ohio or Idaho! Only those of us from Iowa will get that. lol
This is about the game of life. One simple gesture can make a powerful difference. It can bring people together. Regardless. Both the Hawkeyes and to the visiting team
July 1, 2019- I am not a big fan of Iowa. But I do respect Iowa fans to stand up with this sick boy... Stay strong little kid..💪👦 God bless these beautiful young kids...💪❤👦❤
I should have known better to have watched this video while at work. I'm just glad that no one else is here to see my eyes water. May God bless these children, their families and their fans.
amen. the hospital could have been built anywhere and for it to be by the stadium is perfect. god is perfect and for all the lives of the patients and their families to be lifted up by the waving of care and love by football fans. so happy to see this. our world needs more of this.
I have a few Friends who live in Iowa and are Huge Hawkeye fans and season ticket holders, They have said they look forward to going to the games not because of the game, They get chills everytime they do this. I was invited to fly out by my friends and check them out if Oregon ever plays them back there. They said you may be a fan of Iowa's opponents, but that day your a fan of the children. "The Press Box" is an awesome idea.... Iowa, don't ever let this Tradition Die..

If God were perfect wouldnt there be no need for a hospital for critically sick children
@@kraqah God didn't cause illness. He IS perfect. We are not.
