The waterboys Rock, loud, clear and great songs that are different from anyone else out there. Mike Scott is a proper musician and true to his word not his bank account.
👌 Always loved Waterboys' pre- & after-gig music; gettin you in the right mood for the show. Vital to get early inside and the last man out.. Especially remember it from the UH-tours.. tried to get a mix copy from soundboard-man! Mike should release a compilation of these odd mash-ups.
Saw Mike in 95. Solo. Ever since I've wanted to find a boot of that show in Portland, Oregon. Anyone? This & Marty Willson-Piper on "WIMB" are the greatest (to me). Check out Marty's too.
I have totally picked up music based on cover art and its some of my fav music ever, certainly much more reliable than anything I ever read in rolling stone magazine. In fact that's how I found the Waterboys! what could possibly go wrong with a hundred ?? men lined up side by side on a grassy green cover? I also discovered poi dog pondering that way....and indigo girls. And peter Murphy. And I'm sure a hundred more. Thank you thank you Mike for everything. EVERYTHING!
Great grabs. I actually ran across that Thailand musician on iTunes awhile back after seeing a vinyl of his being reprinted, and as for that Ennio Morricone side project, thanks for letting me in on that one.
Até a minha mãe, que critica as músicas que eu gosto, gosta do album This is the sea, do Waterboys.
Awesome real vinyl record albums that’s hot!!!!! Miss em now days they charge like $30.00 give me a break!!!!! 71 now so !................... Mike’s so awesome to see what his bag is or what music he’s into this is hot!!!!!!! Great upload!!!!❤️👍😻☮️🙏🎶🙀
One of the greatest concerts I've ever seen, The Waterboys at First Avenue in Minneapolis in the mid 90's. They played the Chemical Brothers the Private Psychedelic Reel before they came out. Very fitting.
Good shit. It's hauls like this that make me love the "What's in my Bag?" series so much. I'm with him. Why would you ever go to a treasure trove of the weird and wonderful like Amoeba and wind up with Top 100 pop records? I just don't get it. I don't think those who show up on here and do come away with such works deserve the insult and ridicule tossed at them by other viewers, but I do think the criticism is justified.

What a guy!! The Waterboys are impossibly good, and I would love to what Mike Scott's all time favorites are.
Follow him on Twitter...he's very active and answers within reason, as long as you sift through all of his political rants...

Curiosity... That's one reason Mike Scott writes such amazing and beautiful music. I found "Flipper Pshychout". It's awesome! It's on UA-cam.

Never been much of a Waterboys fan, but this guy seems like a hoot.

last song on the mystery cd was a capital number!
How did UA-cam know to recommend this video to me? How did they know I've just discovered The Waterboys?
They've got your name, they've got your number, you are under surveillance. Lol👀
Honestly one of the most underrated bands

That Waterboys show at First Avenue remains one of my all time favorites also. I think about it to this day!
Ya I like this dude😎👍
4:28 'Bong' in Thai.
Imagine his actual collection 😁😁
What is the name and artist of the last album; I think it is a world music title?
You have to love an educated man with an open mind.
A nice unexpected selection.

Rad.
he's as crazy almost as me hahahahah
I'm sure Waterboys are good live but Glastonbury late 1990's they kept audience waiting in a tent setting up so we went off somewhere else...
