Dinasour victrola listening to Buck Owens
Fantastic video, guys!
I discovered Buck Owens through Dwight Yoakam. And Eugene is probably my maternal grandpa's cousin! And Don Rich was from Washington State where my dad was from there.
Olympia/Tumwater.
Great video buck from my home town
CCR. "Lookin Out My Backdoor"
🎶"Dinosaur victrola....listenin to Buck Owen's. Doo doo doo lookin out my backdoor"🎶😎👍
Yep!
Merle played bass early on for Buck. Buck asked Merle to help come up with a name his band, Merle said there could only be one, The Buckaroo's.
@@austinhawkins1443 Yes there is a song Buckaroo. The name was given by Merle Haggard. Before the song.
Awesome demo of Bakersfield playing, but the video seems like low frame rate like 15fps very jittery?

LOVED TO PLAY TOMMY 1965 FENDER
Hello from florida
Very cool stuff, fellows. Dig the vibe, especially the love for Merle, a truly great triple threat.
Hollywood, CA
Eugene Edwards with Radney Foster!
Wish i knew that
And don’t forget the great Wynn Stewart, who died on this date in 1985.
As a grandson of dust bowl Okies who grew up in Oildale and Bakersfield, you can hook up an IV and run that Tele straight into my veins.
Shazam.
I discovered Buck Owens through Creedence🎼😎🇺🇸
Looking out my back door
Dinosaur Victrola listening to Buck Owens…
I discovered Chris ledue(not spelled correctly) through Garth Brooks.
Merle Haggard came up with “Buckaroos” during the 3 week stint he did as Buck’s bass player.
I never knew that! Cool 😎👍
Correct. Two months in 1962.
I HAVE HIS MUSIC AND SOME STUFF HE WROTE IN MY CAB.
A few factual errors in this video: firstly, “Homer Simpson”...???...I’m pretty sure it was Homer Joy who wrote Streets Of Bakersfield. Secondly, “Buck used a Thinline Telecaster”???...I don’t recall ever seeing him using one. He used solid body Telecasters for most of his career. Nice picking guys, but you need to get your facts right.
Pre 1964 he used a Thinline Tele some. I have seen pics of him and a blonde (I think)Thinline, to many years ago. I'm getting old. LOL
“Simpson” was a simple, in-the-moment mistake, not a “factual error.”
Fender didn’t make Thinline Teles until 1968.
You boys straighten up!
Been using the Fender Play App to self teach for a month now. There are some serious suggestions I would like to make. If you guys would like a beginners suggestions for beginners I would love to give them.
Three Dog Night.
TOMMY WAS A REALLY GREAT FREIND OF MINE
Nothibg about what pedsls used to make the Bakersfield sound?
Haggard came up w/Buckeroo
CCR
On this date in 1974 the outstanding Don Rich died.
Where are the maple fretboards? Don't neglect their contribution
So it’s tuned to (D) instead of (E)or an octave below std tuning?
Creedence clearwater revival
Ding, ding, ding!
Dinosaur Victrola, listening to Buck Owens...
What does Fender call the color of that Tele?
Buckaroo written by Bob Morris
Curious as to what pedals are being used
A compressor, it's basically the only effect used in Bakersfield type country. Also the reverb on the amplifier, though not too much of it.
That “58 prob cost more than my Pickup.
That was just great yall
Who built the first fender
Talley Records.... for Lewis Talley
Country Joe Mcdonald & the fish
Hi
interesting
His tone is about as far as you could get from Don Rich
You think so?
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Talley tecords
Ronald regan
Needed to turn down the volume on the acoustic, rhythm is to fill not over run the lead.
I was wondering about that.
Actnatrley
Credence Clearwater Revival
John fogurty
Ccr 3 yrs late
That boy needs to fix his britches.
Credence Clearwater rivel
This is cool and all but Fender Play will only teach you to play what the guy with the acoustic guitar is playing.
Nice playing but you should fact check before putting something like this out.
the who
I really wanted to like this video, but it just doesn't do anything well. I'm glad you're having fun. Please post some serious stuff.
It was President Reagan
