William. Thank you. You're awesome. You explained stuff I've been trying so hard to explain. I've been treated like an imbecile, laughed at....and even worse. Because people though I was being obtuse and demanding. I could see, the look that some of these things, really push your buttons. I'm proud of who I am. I love how I think. But, still have to mask. Even to the point where I moved out of my home, into the converted garage, because I couldn't live how I was living. My son, lives with me. I don't really care about classifications but he's mildly autistic and I'm aspie. My story is to long, complicated and disgusting, for the comments section. You, my friend, I truly appreciate you. I spent so much time, feeling so lost and had zero help in navigating through it all. But you have really helped me. You should have more subscribers. More NT, subscribers. I was about to say the same thing. Your information is always concise and beautifully worded. I love how you use illustrations in order to make a point clearer, and give examples of situations we may find ourselves in as typical people- as a way of helping us understand the problems autistic people may face. I think the fact that you were non verbal as a child and have now become a very articulate young man is extremely encouraging to those with non verbal children. Keep up the awesome work dude!

Thanks great video. We learn differently and many times no accommodations for differences. Big barriers as you say. I’d say a big barrier is our strengths are ignored and proper educational resources are not provided. We get dumbed down trying to fit in as an allistic.

Thank you so much William for this information! My daughter will be 30 years old next week, and as a family we just didn’t know that she was on the Autistic spectrum. This information as a mom is so helpful, please keep doing what your doing. There are people who really need this knowledge, because when you are high functioning people do understand. Thank you.

I partially agree, but at times it becomes necessary to put some weight behind a learning process to make it stick. For most, our learning process is moderately sticky naturally and new ideas and concepts only take a little to add them to our greater mental map. With others, they need a few pieces of tape (pattern reinforcement) to get something to stick. Then there are the precious few that having that idea taped in place 50+ times still does nothing for permanence and it's time to get the pneumatic framing nailer out (Put some emotional backing to the learning experiance) to get it to stick hard enough to do some good. It may not always come off nice but life is not all rainbows and cupcakes. Fingers get broken because we had to learn the hard way to not stick them where they don't belong once in a while.
We are like another species though. 🤣 I am basically an alien. My boyfriend now is dyslexic (not autistic but still neurodivergent), and it's the best relationship in the universe. It is so perfect. And we just complement each other. And even though we don't have the same thing, he understands me on a level no one else ever did. I think neurodivergents are mutants, kinda like X-Men and it is better sometimes to just date another X-Man. :-)
