So much of comedy is timing and knowing your audience. Bill kind of wanders around, but then he circles back and ties it together. There are places here in the US where this routine would be well received, but there are also places which would try to arrest Bill and silence him. My Mother would agree with his sentiments, but would never tolerate his foul mouthed delivery, my nephew would be in the audience laughing his head off. Steve Martin once paused as the audience was laughing, he looked out and in total seriousness said, "Comedy .... Is not pretty"
Thats the problem, people sticking around listening to foul language instead of getting up and changing the channel and then bitching about being offended. Thats humor, it's not for everyone
4:56 About Health and Safety and people being offended, a less well known (but still a brilliant one at his prime) Australian stand-up comedian, has a great bit related to it: - "Comic Database: Steve Hughes... Offended?" The video is 11 years old on UA-cam and it was recorded while he toured the UK. I think it would be a great watch if you don't know him. His style is different of Bill Burr, but he's still great and i dare to say that 2 of his Specials are top-tier stand-up!
He’s right. I’m a fat woman, obese even and I’ve always said, I don’t expect any one to cater to me, and I want to try my best to cover up my fat. I don’t want to see other peoples fat, it’s gross, so obviously people are not going to want to see mine either and personally I don’t want people seeing my fat. It doesn’t mean I want people to say hateful things to me but yet I don’t expect people to ignore the obvious and make over me like I’m the equivalent to Miss America. We so bad need to get back to reality in this world. It makes us tougher individuals and to be able to learn to take criticism and move forward. We have so much suicide these days because no one is taught at an early age we’re imperfect in many ways and need to strive to do better. Then as we get older we’re not all bent out of shape when someone actually tells us the truth about ourselves finally. The newer generations have been a bubble where people tell them from infancy they’re the best, the prettiest, the most successful, accomplished, deserving of a trophy everytime they join a sport for participation so imagine their surprise and devastation when all of a sudden someone actually tells them the truth. They can’t handle it because they’ve never had to deal with that through life, never had to develop that tough skin and learn to like themselves as they are or improve on themselves over the years and so they’re devastated and alot of times they commit suicide or have a mental breakdown. The proof is in history. Our generation didn’t have the suicide rate, it was almost unheard of. We didn’t have confusion over our gender, etc.
How did I miss this one? 😂 Bill Burr is the epitome of no f@cks given. 😅 He takes it to the extreme for comedic effect but he always has valid points. People that piss and moan about Bill Burr and other comedians need to take a deep breath and get as we said in the 80's take a chill pill.😅 Unfortunately his analogy about eating healthy isn't expensive hasn't held true for quite a few years now. Crap food or health food it's ALL expensive. 😜 BP1, was your Poppy on mailman patrol in the background?😂
3:21 he's not bringing it into some sort of context, he's just speaking facts. It's not every individual in the entire world's responsibility to be a paragon of tolerance and acceptance of your values and views. (Love you two btw, been watching you both pop up in my recommendeds for a while. Hope you're both doing well. Complete sidenote, but I found this really great Earl Grey from a Persian company called Sadaf. It's really good and not crazy expensive, you should try it out.)

As someone who consistently fluctuates between being 1 and 3 stone overweight, this doesn't bother me at all. You could be technical about it and argue that there are certain medical conditions that affect your weight (which is true) but the vast majority of people who are overweight are overweight because they eat too much crap. I don't eat a lot volume wise, but I eat the wrong stuff. Nobody's fault but my own. Well, and chocolate. I blame chocolate. 😁 So yeah, this guy is funny. Observation comedy is always good. Most of us carry a few extra pounds from the treats and the lack of exercise, but do our best to eat sensible and stay active. Preach it Bill!!! Up until I had my son, at age 38, I was always quite fit, I was the perfect 10, the health nut, strong & fast. After the emergency C-section and settling into a comfortable marriage with a wonderful man who was raised on gravy and biscuits I have gotten chunky. Shit happens. Now, I get in trouble sometimes because I call it like I see it. I have 4 nieces on my husbands side, that are teenage to 20's. They are circus fat, no other way to put it CIRCUS FAT! There is no reason for young people to weigh, and I shit you not, 300+ pounds. BUT, we all need to be comfortable in what we are. I am comfortable in my "chunk" at 54 I feel pretty good, I'm happy, healthy and productive, and my husband loves me. So, come to terms with what you are or fix it! Ummmm....... The shame thing brings to mind a few incidents involving certain metal bands and dairy products.......Man, it was some fun times though! ;)
I hear ya! I've been with my husband since I was 17, so we've grown older and comfortable together. I'm not obese by any means, but chunky is a good description. My job is very physical too, so I'm pretty fit all things considered. An average work day I'm up at 7am and rarely sit down before 6pm. I walk to work and back, and in between serving customers I'll work stock. Lifting and stacking multiple cases of beers, drinks, groceries etc. I definitely work off the majority of the crap I eat 🤣🤣🤣

And he is home every night so I am blessed that way.
@@chueysmama2622 I hear ya. I worked a 60 hour week for years in my 20's, it's no fun. I manage the school drop offs, and hubby picks little dude up at 3pm. We always agreed though that one of us should be home with the littles. My older boy works shift work and is still at home, and we manage between us. I'm hoping to be in your position in 9 years for sure. Still employed, but more free time for family and fun stuff!

Get hungry? drink water.
Yeah sadly we all do that, I am trying hard myself to just listen, observe and learn. Try to be optimistic, learn from what mistake people do for personal improvement. Share what I have learn to family and friends if they need it. Trying so hard to follow the 3 Gates before I speak. If it is true, If it is necessary and If it is Kind. And if I am not sure. I'll just keep my opinion to myself.
Try hard to get a sense of humour while you’re at it. I’m sure you’re offended. Sadly, you just seem to think that not telling people what their doing to themselves will cause multiple health problems and an early death. That you should just “listen and observe”, which I’m sure you think is virtuous, so as not to offend is the correct thing to do. I’m out, why should I even try to explain what should be obvious. tap.

4:56 About Health and Safety and people being offended, a less well known (but still a brilliant one at his prime) Australian stand-up comedian, has a great bit related to it:
- "Comic Database: Steve Hughes... Offended?"
The video is 11 years old on UA-cam and it was recorded while he toured the UK. I think it would be a great watch if you don't know him. His style is different of Bill Burr, but he's still great and i dare to say that 2 of his Specials are top-tier stand-up!
There's an intimacy, LMAO
You should react to Patrice O’Neil, he was a comedian and a good friend of bill burr.
😂
Bill Burr is the epitome of no f@cks given.
😅
He takes it to the extreme for comedic effect but he always has valid points.
People that piss and moan about Bill Burr and other comedians need to take a deep breath and get as we said in the 80's take a chill pill.😅
Unfortunately his analogy about eating healthy isn't expensive hasn't held true for quite a few years now.
Crap food or health food it's ALL expensive. 😜
BP1, was your Poppy on mailman patrol in the background?😂
3:21 he's not bringing it into some sort of context, he's just speaking facts. It's not every individual in the entire world's responsibility to be a paragon of tolerance and acceptance of your values and views. (Love you two btw, been watching you both pop up in my recommendeds for a while. Hope you're both doing well. Complete sidenote, but I found this really great Earl Grey from a Persian company called Sadaf. It's really good and not crazy expensive, you should try it out.)
"Pour Some Sugar on Me"
It's my first time watching your channel and I LOVE Bill Burr. Check out his helicopter story or any of his bits and you will have a good time.
Oh my gosh... Are all you Brit's such stiff upper lips? That was F-ING hilarious!!!
I'm laying here covering my mouth and nose while still making noises, all in hope's I don't wake my husband up.
Grab yourselves a sense of humor!
Loved Bill before Nia got more and more into his head and into his act that is.😢
You can't see the correlation between McDonalds and overweight people?
I liked this, I'm here in the United States and I am sure just like in the UK, everyone is so damn sensitive and so easily offended. Bill Burr does a great job as always. Anyway, cheers and nice video. BTW, I noticed I am wearing the same exact headset as the guy on the left..... anyway, funny observation!
Wait….! The UK has McDonalds’ that delivers?! 🤨😲
@Steve Lien
LMAO, oh yes all the fast foods now offer a delivery service
theres even a liquor store that delivers in colorado, usa ... i put gettin alcohol delivered to me on my bucket list ... now to see if i can afford it ...
Please do the old man face, it is hilarious.
Mitch Hedberg
I have to wonder how many in the audience were at least moderately overweight, if not grossly obese...newsflash, nobody gains 200 pounds overnight.
Eat an apple, and go for a walk..
You seem like you're laughing but you're offended at the same time like you don't know what to think. It's okay to laugh bud it's comedy
So yeah, this guy is funny. Observation comedy is always good.
Well done BP1! My hubby and my older boy are both adamant that they can't use the washing machine. We all know that's crap. Nice to see a bloke pitching in with the chores! Don't forget to check the pockets next time 🤣🤣🤣
Hello friend! I do all the laundry in the house but everyone knows whatever is in the pockets is considered a tip and I keep it! I made $120 plus change one day!!
@EnderOllie 4
Always nice to enjoy the finer things and anything in moderation should be fine.
Most of us carry a few extra pounds from the treats and the lack of exercise, but do our best to eat sensible and stay active.
BP1 is down with the Cov at the moment and not looking too good, hoping for a speedy recovery as we are running out of content 😁
@@BritPopsReact yes, I saw his little video about that. He didn't look too bad, but it gets worse before it gets better. I felt truly rough for about 4 or 5 days, then started feeling better. Tested positive for 9 days in total though. I'm testing daily at the moment as half of my colleagues are off sick with it. Really hoping I don't get it again!
And yes! Everything in moderation! I only have a a little chocolate. Um. Every day. Ha!
Very true and if someone uses the excuse of a lympnode/thyroid issue. That is literally 1-2% of the population. Aka you’re as likely to know a trans person lol
Eating too much stuff with added suggar and added fats while sitting and doing nothing, even worse, most of the time watching something which silences satiation signals. And boom, overweight.
Louis CK
Lol don't feel bad, we're the fattest country in the world over here in the US
The old fella said "filtered and photoshopped, people don't look like that".
Well.. alot of people do, because these days its normal to exercise and stay in shape. Obviously the filter shit happens, but can't generalize like that aswell.
The old fella 😂😂😂😂
@@BritPopsReact my bad mate 😂
I just discovered this channel. You two look to be about my sons' age. Some of my fondest memories, when he was in his early 20s, were of him and his friends cracking up while watching some comedian. More often than not it was the Dave Chappelle Show on HBO. Both of you reminded me of that memory today. It was fun to watch. Guess I'd best sub up, hey? (Canadian)lol
Great :) well firstly we shall take the compliment even though our combined ages are 90+ lol 😆 but we are on a journey of finding music, comedy and sport we haven’t watched or don’t know of and encourage our viewers to come along so thanks for joining, we have a small community on Patreon as well and many subscribers come back each week so hopefully these is something for you and don’t be shy to request anything no and join in, thanks for watching :)
@@tundiel Shoot! Not me, I work 4 hours a day at a school then it is home and keeping up with the men of the house! My fit days are gone. My parents are determined to out live algae, and encourage me to do the same. I'd rather know who I am, who my son and family are and pass on at a respectable 70-ish thank you! Life is too sweet to forget what it is!!
@@chueysmama2622 I'd love to only work 4 hours a day! I work 8 hour shifts 4 days a week. Used to be 5 days, but I dropped a shift in April. Hoping to drop another shift next year, just can't afford to at the moment. Hubby works 3 days a week. We JUST manage to stay afloat as we are, but it's pretty dicey. My wages just about cover all the bills, and hubby's wage covers food. Little to nothing left for anything else. Man, 4 hour shifts would be a DREAM. I could do it, but we'd have to live off bread and water 🤣🤣🤣
@@tundiel I spent MANY years working my ass off mainly in surgery, pulling double shifts, taking call time, etc. I worked loading trucks, where I met my husband, and that was long hard hours too! He still drives a truck and works 60-75 hours a week. He makes good money for where we live. Plus, the trucker shortage in the USA right now keeps him in good standing with his company. And he is home every night so I am blessed that way.
@@chueysmama2622 I hear ya. I worked a 60 hour week for years in my 20's, it's no fun. I manage the school drop offs, and hubby picks little dude up at 3pm. I'm home by 5.30pm, so we too are all home for evenings. It works well. I've had the steadier job over the years, so I've mostly worked full time. We always agreed though that one of us should be home with the littles. My older boy works shift work and is still at home, and we manage between us. I'm hoping to be in your position in 9 years for sure. Still employed, but more free time for family and fun stuff!
You can’t shame people! Shame is something you internalise, a person feels shame for them selves and actions. Only you can feel shame, so fat shaming is just not a thing!
You guys are entertaining I love it. Im from nyc. I feel you guys are coo as fuck. Lol 😂
@Redman
Hi to you Redman and thanks for the fun comment.

People are looking for things to be offended by.
Oh yeah 👍🏻
McDonalds went to shit years ago, the old days u use to get those cheeseburgers that looked like someone beat the shit out of it in the back and bun was all covered in grease now its just boring and plain
Hi! I always love your reaction.
Couple of days ago, One ok rock dropped a new song called "Save yourself" so please check them out too.
No lie if people fat shamed i think ppl would be healthier. Like unless you actually have some medical problem then being fat is totally your choice. If you're praising someone being fat and obese your encouraging them to have major health problems down the line
Man ..u the people who won the battle of Britain....push back harder
Fresno state
I'm sorry but if you are going to take offense to jokes, you need to not go to any more shows.
People will laugh at most of what a comic says until they talk about something they are sensitive about.
lose weight ffs! how hard can it be - stop fecking eating for 3 days - I'm poor so its so easy for me - its either the rent or food . . the roof is more important than the gut - so I dont eat - tellya instant noodles, chuck a few frozen veges in there, big lump of butter and there you go.That'll keep me going for 2 days. Get hungry? drink water.
@noproblam
LMAO, yup fair point
Balance the audio.
I’m out, why should I even try to explain what should be obvious. tap.
@@gregthomson2299 yeah you do that. Never try to explain or interact with someone about something especially when you're not sure what the person is talking about.
I wish you good luck and I hope you have all the time for every people you meet every day so you can show them your very concernig nature. Just try not to forget that to Inspire is much better than to Critisize or make it simply as a constructive criticism. And one thing more, since you have much time for all these People around you, try not to forget about yourself okey. Take care of youself too is a priority, A better self is always 1st, and a better concern for others will follow.
We need more people like you these days.
Peace Love and Light to you brother
