- In this video, I am Fall Crappie Fishing 2022. I show you how to catch limits of crappie in the fall, and you can also use this deep water crappie fishing technique to catch limits of crappie in late summer as well. I am crappie fishing with a bobber and live minnows over brush piles. This is some of the most fun fishing you can do, especially in the times of late summer and into the fall. I am able to catch some nice slab crappie in this video. Crappie fishing in East Texas is always great, but that fall crappie fishing bite is something you have to catch. These crappie will start moving from the deeper brush piles, to the shallower brush piles as the water temperature cools off. I hope you enjoyed this video!

Nice haul, people need to stop bashing, if the legal limit is 25 than you can take 25 home everyday. If there is a decline in population of crappie they will adjust the limit, it’s that simple

I’ve learn that those go pros over heat depending on the video quality you have it set on. If your shooting in 4K for more then 15min+ it’s gonna over heat. What I do is put it on 1080p and it last a long time.
I record in 1080p. It’s just 90°-100° in Texas when this video was filmed. But it is what it is. Thanks for watching! God bless

I have the same issue with my Hero 10. I got myself a powerbank and take the battery out of the camera. Run it straight from the power bank. There is few on Amazon that you can get that work great. I just loop it in the back of my chest mount. Can go like 6 hours with a single charge. Great videos keep up the awesome work.
It’s not my battery. It’s the go pro over heating. The 9 and 10 are prone to over heat because of the P3 processors they have. The 8 has the P2. I love the 8 over the 9 and 10 any day. Thanks for watching! God bless

You should do a night crappie video. I fish at night for them here in centralFlorida, I’d Ike more tips under lights how to locate them and get them to bite

No I have plenty of recent videos showing me threading the minnow on. No vital organs are punctured. The minnow of course can’t move as well if it was hooked in the back or the tail. Originally I started doing that when the bluegill wouldn’t leave me alone. But I have no went strictly to that. I can catch numerous crappie on one minnow sometimes.

When you pass over and identify structure on which you then set markers, why do you not sit over the targets and fish, instead of moving away and tossing to the structure? If sitting over them is disturbing to them, then why are they there after passing over to identify the structure and drop markers? This seems to be a conflict of logic - can you explain?
I want to be able to work that slip cork and minnow/jig. I’m not a fan of tight lining. And as far as scaring the fish, you won’t scare them unless you are in less then 10ft of water or so and it also depends on the time of the year. Crappie tend to be more spooky in the spring! When they are in shallower water! That’s just my opinion. I am fishing waters that are 15-20 feet in this video. So I more than likely won’t be spooking any fish. Thanks for watching! God bless
What is the float marker where you cast your bait to? A reference point in fish finder?
No the buoy marker is thrown after going over the brush top, to give me a better reference on where the brush top is. So I know a good place to start fishing. you got me all confused now cause in another video u said they'll be moving deeper haha. so is it from september through october they come shallower then novemeber as it gets colder they go back to deep?
No sir. Crappie go 1 of 2 places in the fall and winter. Either deep in the main lake OR shallow in the creeks to chase shad. They go in the creeks where the water is shallower and warms up quicker in the day. 2-6 feet of water is going to warm up alot quicker than 25+ feet of water. I’m not an expert. But I do know you can catch crappie in 25 feet of water right now, and you can catch crappie in the creeks as well. That’s what makes crappie so interesting. No sir. It’s thrown after going over the brush top with the fish finder.
You hook your minnow a way I've never seen - in the mouth and thru the body - but you do it too quick for me to follow. Do you have this method in a different video?
Yes sir. There are plenty of videos where I show how I hook my minnow. In the mouth, out the gill and back through the top of the back. I started doing this when the bluegill will easily take the minnow off from hooking the minnow only in the back and the tail. So now I use this method and pop it back to me. You can catch multiple crappie on one minnow doing this and the bluegill can not take it off so easily. I appreciate you for watching! God bless!
