I love the dad for standing up for his kids and his wife. That cashier is disgusting on so many levels. The fact that he still has a job after his history of constant inappropriate, gross remarks is very concerning.
Furthermore: This moment is a big part of his daughters’ lives and it’s their entrance into womanhood. It’s already scary and embarrassing when you get your first period. You’re still a kid and your body is going through changes and you’ve never experienced it before, so you don’t know what to expect or how to handle it at first. To have some creepy, perverted, loud mouthed cashier make disturbing remarks about them is a surefire way to make them feel even worse about themselves. I’d have been mortified if someone had said that to me when I got my first period. So discharging mace when there's no probable cause is actually classified as a chemical weapons assault. Mace is a form of tear gas and so it's the equivalent of having weapons grade chemicals and using them irresponsibly.
Also if the prosecuting attorney wants to really be mean they can even attach attempted murder on the end of it as well. A lot of people are so allergic to mace and pepper spray that they will literally start to suffocate.
