Perfect. Tutorial outlines what to do to get started using a simple, useful example. Narrator speaks slowly and deliberately. I had no problems understanding. Well done.
Hi I’m from PH and we are on online class right now due to pandemic and your video REALLLLYYY HELPED me 😍❤️ I don’t really do comments but I just wanna show my gratitude☺️
A great tutorial, thank you very much. After battling with Freecad in Linux Manjaro for months, this has me up and running in minutes! Keep up your presentation style mate, it makes it easy for us 'old farts' to follow!
wow. very nice. even a beginner like me really understand the process. it is really clear and understandable. keep it up sir. hope you can still share more techniques of your in creating desings in autocad. thank you so much. thank you.
Hello Rhea Mae.I am happy this video worked for you quite well. If you are interested there is a complete course for beginners available here: ua-cam.com/video/pvKVy-eMDYc/v-deo.html&lc=UgzKPd2ugKE334yFmY54AaABAg
When I type 8000mm for that top wall on the plan, the line goes well off the page. Is there any way to scale the whole page so that when I move the cursor the measurement increases in greater amounts.
Hi +Jeff Smith ! I am not sure if I understood your question but when you draw a line that goes off the page, you can type: "Z" (zoom) and then "A" (all). By doing this you will see all your drawings. Try that
I faced the same problem too. It happens because you have used the command "line" instead of "Poly Line". Try typing PL and then add the value, i hope it solves the problem. :)
I haven't used AutoCAD in over 20 years, so I appreciate your tutorial. I'm trying to draw a detailed floor plan with MS Paint, but it's very difficult. I'm looking for a free, simple 2D CAD program that can create groups and has osnap commands like you demonstrated. Can anyone recommend one?
Hello Nicholas. I am glad that you liked my tutorials. I don't know any program about 2D CAD for free, but I guess it exists. Maybe you can try Sketchup. It is 3D and is for free.
Just do the math. The last room is 1000mm x 1700mm. The wall's thickness is 150mm, then, the bottom right room is 2550mm x 3250mm; the one on the top is 2650mm x 1400mm; and the one on the middle right is 2400mm x 1400mm.
When I type in the measurements for the floorplan @50'31 etc it becomes huge even when I zoom out it's not the same shape as yours - do you know what i am doing wrong?
Hello this is amazing tutorial. Now i have one small doubt how we are supposed to add the plan to our work space so that we can switch it anytime and have a look. Looking forward to hear from you to the earliest.
Hello +Isaac Addy. There is the tutorial for beginners available here. Maybe it is this what you are looking to: ua-cam.com/video/tHrfxjgFQt8/v-deo.html&lc=z12fwlio0q3vyd4is04cjrya3o2hfr1p5ww0k Check it out! :)
Hi Author, At 6:20, I tried to use offset command like you, but somehow it offsets only one edge instead of whole object. What was your setting? and how to to offset for whole object? Thanks.
hey Xuan, after using the polyline tool to draw your object, type OFFSET=> press enter => type the offset distance that you want => press enter again => finally select the object. I hope it works for you :)
Thanks for answering the question +mario63ist (Abu) In this case you should convert to a polyline first. Because if you offset, line by line, them you will miss the corners. You can try to check out the difference
Hi, The figures in the end of the content ie o:45 , 1:15 , 2:45, 3:30, 4:00 , 5:18 , & 3:30 indicates what & what is the use in these figures in this Tutorial ?
Hi, I am just curious how the aucad works the reason why I watched videos like this. I'm curious if the numbers you're putting on the screen are standard number or how did you get those numbers?
A very great video, but please this offset is confusing me and i have not been able to get it done, how did you know that the thickness of your wall is 300? please someone should help.
Hi +ramziwamzi. This video was intended to show some tips to draw floor plan. If you prefer a more complete exercise, please check out this playlist. ua-cam.com/video/_lmgp-l7C2Y/v-deo.html
I did everything what you did but when I Commanded PL > draw a line > set length to 8000, the length of the line was out of the display. And then I zoom in and out by scrolling the mouse wheel but still could not find the line's endpoint. Please Help!
Hi +Rafa Syed. Try typing "Z", press enter and then type "A". You should see everything you draw in that file. That is a very common issue for Autocad users. Does it work?
Hello CAD in black...thanks for sharing your video, I have question Look on the Tutorial to draw a simple floor plan (Fast and effective!) PART 1 what template name are you using on this video ?
Hi, I hope I could answer your question properly. I also wondered about the templates since there's acad and acadiso templates. I found out that acad.dwt is a template setup for imperial (units=inches), whereas acadiso.dwt is setup for metric (units=mm)
Can you set up the drawing so you can type 5, meaning 5 meters), instead of 5000 mm? It would be much easier because we are thinking in meters....Must the commands always be given in mm?
Hello +ruffomaldito. Autocad is adimentional. You can type 5 and it can mean what you want. It can be meters, milimeters, kilometers, etc.. Depends what kind of drawing you are working on. Only when you print, you have to set up the scale of the paper to fit there
Do you really intend to build anything where the smallest, or even most common dimension is in meters? Seems pretty unlikely unless you are building a megolith of some kind.
Perfect. Tutorial outlines what to do to get started using a simple, useful example. Narrator speaks slowly and deliberately. I had no problems understanding. Well done.
I really like the sound of the mouse clicking, its so satisfying!😊Thanks!

Jeff Smith, it may be due to the grid spacing. By default, we have grid spacing 0.50 but we can change it to 10 as lie in the video 3:33 min.
Lovely demonstration 👍🏾

nice one
why did you from the 2nd room to the last room at 7:30 ? what are measurements of the other rooms?
Just do the math. The last room is 1000mm x 1700mm. The wall's thickness is 150mm, then, the bottom right room is 2550mm x 3250mm; the one on the top is 2650mm x 1400mm; and the one on the middle right is 2400mm x 1400mm.
informative tutorial thanks
Thanks
good video
Thanks +Awais Mirza :)
When I type in the measurements for the floorplan @50'31 etc it becomes huge even when I zoom out it's not the same shape as yours - do you know what i am doing wrong?
yes i knw
first click some place then type @20',20' and enter then you get proper output
Click mouse middle button twice
can you tell us the distance instead of typing them off silently cuz I downloaded the image it's not clear
sir it was very useful.. i want to know in any plan how much distane we have to take between two exterior wall
great video
Hi. This is a very helpful video but which template did you use???
dear, sir, your tutorial videos really useful for beginners,i really appreciate you, please send more videos to us

Dear Author,
I am getting a problem at 6:52 The lines for the room 1 are not getting good in my case
Please be sure you have the Osnap modes "extension" turned on, but no the "nearest". If you have the "nearest" turned on, it will not work.
Thank you for the video. Can you please tell me what is the name of the software you using in this video? Is it fusion ?
Hello +ShaBe MahTAab
It is Autocad 2013. Not Fusion
useful and helpful thanks bruh.
What was the measurements of ur lines?

At 6:20, I tried to use offset command like you, but somehow it offsets only one edge instead of whole object.

Thanks.
hey Xuan, after using the polyline tool to draw your object, type OFFSET=> press enter => type the offset distance that you want => press enter again => finally select the object. I hope it works for you :)
That works for me now.
I had used Line command instead of Polyline, so that was the difference
Xuan Nguyen van
nice :), that will also work with the line command, but instead it will select a single line not the whole set of lines
Thanks for answering the question +mario63ist (Abu)
In this case you should convert to a polyline first. Because if you offset, line by line, them you will miss the corners. You can try to check out the difference
if u r drawn using lines...then select whole lines...type block..give a name..ok..then that lines become one object
