As part of the Brave Armory, the Blast Furnace has returned. It was one of the most popular Pulse Rifles in the history of Destiny 2, due to it's strength in the Crucible. I can see this having some huge potential in PvP, especially if you have the perfect God Roll... don't regret not grinding for this. Enjoy!

Headseeker + Rapid hit. Trust, it’s crazy
Cosigning on this. This roll was my first drop and also had 97 Range. The "ease of use" it comes with is crazy.
You can still get mapped by DMT or Polaris but it's a workhorse. Had it for about a day and put around 100 kills on it in IB. Very fun gun.

I got a shiny with Arrowhead, Acc. Rounds and a handling MW.
The kills feel like slicing through butter, i hope we get an Agrro frame meta down the line.
i got a headseeker desperate measures shiny roll with 100 stability and 70 range. second set of perks firefly and kinetic too. insane!
jealous! Kinetic Tremors + Firefly is my chase roll for a shiny Blast Furnace. I have my god roll non-shiny already and I love it. can’t wait to enhance the perks!

I have an old school Outlaw/Headseeker roll I kept with 80 range and used regularly in Crucible after the "no power rating" change and I really like it...
I kept my god roll Right Side of Wrong with Zen and Headseeker ... Been rocking the 4 burst with it.
Thanks to sunsetting sunset I'll be able to use it while radiant 💀
I’m more of a PVE guy, but Kinetic Tremors and Firefly is SO fun. I also have Chromatic Fire on for extra-extra booms👏

Landed a arrowhead, accurized, headseeker and kill clip with range masterwork. Gonna be fun when it's enhancable 🤩 42 meter range. Absolutely beast

Headseeker and Kill Clip is the combo im currently chasing.
Probably Hammerforged and Accurized with a Stability or Handling MW.
i got arrowhead/accurized/headseeker/kc, stability mw. keep chasing, it's worth it
I got a double perk for 3rd and 4th column perk BF with HS + KC/TT god roll perks but the curated feels better to shoot.
I can't seem to get a HS roll with good stability or MW.
Real question for you Jake this or crafted pice of mind?
I have the same problem with all Aggressive burst pulse rifles. It just always feels like I almost always end up 3 tapping anyway, leaving them with a sliver of health on the 2-tap, even with double consistency perks like Headseeker/Zen, Rapidhit. For some reason Hi-impacts seem to do this more consistently.
When I used my zen Elsie's Rifle I saw immediately how it magnets to crits and hands out 2-taps.
I know there's a lot of hype around Blast furnace but I'm just not feeling it. Love it in PVE tho, but that's because I just like shoot2loots in everything.
So I have a roll of Smallbore/Extended in 1st column, Accurized/Steady in 2nd, Headseeker in 3rd, Desperate Measures in 4th with a range masterwork. It can do 100 range w/ 71 stability, 91 range w/86 stability. You are welcome to give it a shot if you'd like.
My godroll is full bore, steady rounds, keep away, rapid hit and a stability masterwork. this roll gives you 99 range and 97 range when both perks proc which isn't hard when your using a pulse

Me personally, I prioritize stability or handling on pulses. Unless it’s not that necessary (lightweights or adaptives)

Zen Moment is absolutely the play, at least on controller.
Zen is almost always the play on anything.

Yep they are both third column perks, headseeker is solid as well IMO. If you can get at least 70 stability the pulse is just great in general

Are Aggressive a more consistent 2 burst compared to high impact? Messenger and Relentless are hard to beat
No they are far worse.
High impacts are head and shoulders over aggressives.

Frenzy
Perk Reasoning:
Zen for Flinch resistance and ease of use.
Frenzy for the 15% boost, and max handling and reload speed.
Frenzy is generous for activation and keeping it active when playing at range. Best part, you don't need the weapon out at all times for the perk to proc, so play with secondary until up.
I love my headseeker firefly roll. Still grinding for my shiny.

Zen & headseeker been the best perks on every pvp pulse since year 1. Zen reduces the amount of barrel flip & headseeker makes the autoaim sticky & pull towards crits with every body shot hidden hand used to be good as well, but the values on headseeker are much higher. Hidden hand was always better on handcannons . With both these perks it is easy to just aim kill box & they find the head. Side note because zen reduces barrel flip it actually decreases TTK as well. I would go Zen moment over headseeker & 1 for, all you need to do is hit a guy hit another guy hit the first guy agian 40% extra damage for 10 seconds...but either zen or headseeker would be awesome, I am on controler so I prioritize stability over sticky. Also no ricochet or HCR on this so steady rounds would be my play.

I was speaking generally, & weighing the options between them. You can't go wrong with either, but I would take zen over headseeker.
Very few weapons offer both which is also why you should farm an elsies while you got the chance it is a fricking lazer beam.

Blast furnace is very good but I appreciate how reserved Jake is about getting excited about a weapon. Other notable content creators will have you convinced that trash weapons are very good and potentially meta. Very misleading. If Jake says its good, its good - If its bad, its bad - and if its great then its great.
Zen Moment / Rampage has been the best feeling roll I've used so far.

This company....I'm assuming all the talented weapon designers use have left the company or been fired years and years ago. The Reskin in this game is pathetic. Do they even have anyone at their company left who can make...new things lol. Laziest weapons I've ever seen. There hasn't been an actual new gun in lord.....been a min.
