This is probably one of the best mindreading abilities I seen, one where you can't read friendly peoples minds which also revels if someone is hostile. I knew people in China tries to screw over each other for the smallest bit of money but I didn't expect that the vendors would be hostile towards their customers or maybe they just think what's the best way to screw over their customers.
I agree the first love trope is old, as well as the substitute love trope. The main character believed he loved her in the beginning. I found that to be suspect. The fact that Alan and the first love just wanted to humiliate the bride. That was uncalled for.
First love is getting old. Though I like how this story is not all about revenge and the betrayer completely becoming criminal. It was a realistic ending. But I really need a new story of love just to restore my belief in humanity
But tbh first love is horrible and its not a lie ..... Like my parents fight straight 20 years just bec of my dad's first love her husband die when my brother is around 3-4 years old and my dad start giving her money so my mom her family had many fights and i feel betrayed tooo ....when my older brother became scientist we stop asking dad to stay home , stay with us .... Me and my bro just say we don't want ti hear from anyone u with her bec we learnt we are not mom who forgive bec its about our reputation...... Thats a reason i and my bro never date ..... .. tbh i hate mens and womens.... My mom suffer and she give us alot of pain almost she is absent mother bec of her depression...
Better than average 1st love trumps new love story. Liked the mind reading ability restriction to only those without genuine affection for the FL. Keeping that in mind, didn't understand why she couldn't read her fiance's mind from the very moment they met. Could he have fallen in love with her the second he layed eyes on her? Then that love disappeared the second his 1st love reappeared? Also, no decent human being would plan such a humiliating wedding scenario for his fiance.
