I had the absolute joy of working with Heklina back when we were both starting out. I got to perform with her many times at Trannyshack and can say she was one of the funniest, nicest, smartest people I had the absolute honor to call friend. The world lost something that comes around too rarely when she passed: an authentic, creative visionary that held up those things the majority of the world would shun or deny and say “Look how beautiful” and created a space to let those things shine. I thought Jinkx slayed. Alaska started off kind of Rocky but it got pretty funny and shes always original and weird. Jackie Beat did OK as the host but i laughed more at jokes made at her expense. Sister Roma wasnt super funny to me. Peaches for me she bombed. You could tell a lot of them didnt get the drag race references (they dont watch lol)
