Thank you Natalia!! :) You answered my question about mirrors. I have these gorgeous mirrors that were on that wall. Had a friend that claimed to know feng shui tell me to take them down. I brought them back out moving things in my place and I LOVE them there and don't want to put them back in my closet. Thank you, thank you , thank you for posting this :)

Feng Shui has always worked for me and my Dad was a scientist lol. Right now I need to adjust the energy of a vintage- looking, rectangular mirror next to my guest bathroom (not ideal)
Mirrors should be placed strategically: reflecting nature or a beautiful room, not bathroom doors or sharp architectural details. I have MS in electro-optics and was working as an engineer for 15 years.. Feng Shui is a real thing if you really understand the principles.

You said, mirror will reflect all the beneficial energy right back. How about the unbeneficial energy, is it exempted to reflect right back? Sounds very questionable.
Agree!!! Our front door faces the neighbour's swimming pool and in fengshui, it's not ideal, hence the need for a mirror facing the door.

Hi, Have an front door facing a wall and I'd really like to put a wall console table and a mirror. Everyone says this is a, "No, no," but found 1 person who says if you have a wall opposite of your door, it's okay to place a mirror coz it will give you a feeling of moving forward, which to me is kind of like placing the frame with a picture of a road. Thoughts?

I will try a road picture at my small wall next to the front door, i cannot put a mirror the biggest wall faces the front door. I have a red patterned rug there and just changed a red lampshade which was too big for a smaller brownish tweed fabric one which feels comforting.
B Parker don’t put any mirror facing your front door, or kitchen, or any door for that matter. It is a MUST NOT in fang shui.
Here's hoping I can make my space feel nice and lived in, just moved, have no furniture. I wanna make it as nice as possible but on a bit of a budget crunch.

Our entry way - the way how the driveway and the house itself are located - is our back door , you walk straight into the kitchen, first thing you see is a stainless steel fridge. Can I please please have any suggestions for this particular case. Also, this back door that is being used as an entry way, is facing west, and currently burgundy color. Should I leave door being burgundy, in spite of the west face, or should I repaint it, and what color. Thanks in advance.
The fridge represents a "treasure cove". Doors of the fridge should avoid facing the kitchen's entry, back door, bathroom door, etc as it means wealth flowing out. In your case, have the doors of your fridge facing another direction instead of directly at the back door. Also, do not have the doors of your fridge facing the stove cuz stove represents the fire element and fridge represents the water element. Placing both facing each other the elements will clash, resulting in fightings n quarrels happening often in the household.

No, mirror should not face any door, period. Look up the Chinese fang shui instructions. It’s a general fang shui knowledge.

Do you know what red is used for in traditional Chinese culture? It is used to keep evil spirits out. And not everyone can handle red as the entry door colour. Mirror is often the same case, you place a Bagua mirror right in front of the door to keep bad energies out, however this needs to be done carefully as, if done wrongly it could draw bad energy to yourself.

Technically, in practicing Feng Shui, mirrors CAN reflect windows, adding Light!
But mirrors should NOT be placed across from the Front door.

Reflecting a tree that is planted in front of the house creates negative energy inside the home. Placing a mirror directly in front of the front door acts as a defense mechanism against anyone entering your home with negative energy. Their energies are instantly bounced back to them and disable them and their bad intentions. Every since I installed a mirror facing my front door all of the negative people in my life have stopped visiting my house. My home is peaceful and focused. You should never have any soil, such as potted plants, by your front door. This creates a dirty earthen energy. Almost a slow energetic muck at your front door. Potted plants should only be located in the backyard.

Dinsca avinsca I beg to differ. My entry faces West. I have a mirror above a server in my dining room, which defects western light. Mirrrors reflect natural light. Why is that a negative factor, in your opinion, in decor? To each, her, or his, own.

Terrible advices! Red, black and blue color, especially on the entry door, if is wrong color for that location, it can be very harmful. Sorry, but this lady is not talking about classical Feng shui and you can have more harm then good use of her advice.
