    Everything about this scene is comedic gold, Ted running for his life as Huell reads his magazine unbothered, the slide and bonk noise, the falling of the oranges, Huell’s swaying arms. Tears every time 😂😂

    I love this scene so much, aside from the accident, you can just tell these are Saul Goodman's guys. They're just as sarcastic and witty as he is, and their dynamic, no matter how faked it may be, is just perfect. "Huell, you happy?" "Reasonably."

      honestly, the goons of other characters tend to have stuff in common with their masters.
      Jesse pinkman and his goofy friends are approachable and nice when it comes down to it, Jack's gang is full of psychotic goblin people basically, Gus's gang is full of cold calculated killers (tbh this includes Mike), the salamancas are all hot headed and spiteful againt people who opposed them and take everything personally (except Lalo, he is kinda an outlier). most groups in the series are filled with similar enough people imo.

      It adds a little razzle dazzle to what otherwise might be a tense (and boring) scene. In a season filled to the brim with tense moments, turning the typical shakedown into a lighthearted romp was a brilliant idea.

    I forget what movie I was watching, but in the DVD commentary, the director was saying he loves to cast comedians in minor but important dramatic roles, not as a stunt casting thing, but because they typically give good performances with the relatively little material they're given. Bill Burr and Lavell Crawford prove that this is a very good idea.

      If you can master comedy you can pretty much master everything in acting industry, that is my personal opinion.
      It is easy to act miserable, to act angry, but it takes certain charisma to make people laugh. And most importantly: not everyone can pull this off! you have to get the timing exactly right too. humour is truly a gift!

    One thing that makes this scene great is not having music. Imagine if there were some malevolent music throughout this scene, slowly building up until Ted breaks his neck. It would be epic,
    But no, it's dead silent except for talking, magazine pages flipping, shoes scuffling, oranges falling on the floor. When Ted bolts, it's just stupid and banal, and funny, like real life.

    Ted likely wouldve stayed and waited with Kuby and Huell, but realised that his lack of cable television wouldve made Huell very unhappy, so he tried to escape before it became problem. He tripped up because Huell quickly activated his powers due to his unhappiness at the prospect.
