And you guys not even mentioned a Swissmar?! As a chef for 27 years, I can say that a Borner's mandoline is one of the best on the market, and will last you a lifetime. The Progressive PL8 and the Benriner (Japanese) are the only ones that can hold a candle to the Borner.
Thanks for sharing your expert opinion! We'll definitely check out the Borner mandoline and those other recommendations. Always good to hear from someone with experience. 😊👨🍳
The LHS isn't even an actual mandoline and watching her use the one slicing blade without any kind of hand guard was horrifying. You also largely fail to go into any detail on where each performs well or falls short, just rattling off what sounds like promotional copy from the manufacturer/distributor.
Thanks Mark. You saved me from having to watch this and get the results you mentioned which was nothing. I am looking for “ The Best “ this is just a demo of gadgets, as u mentioned “ marketing “ 😣
@@gosownik As a chef for 27 years, I can say that you must have bought a fake one. A original Borner's mandoline is no joke, and will last you a lifetime. The Progressive PL8 and the Benriner (Japanese) are the only ones that can hold a candle to the Borner.

#7 should have used someone with at least one muscle so it looks smooth and easy to use
#7 is Cuisinart (Kweez-In-Art), not Cuisine Art.
If your list does not contain the Swissmar Börner, it is incomplete.
i just bought one myself, it's not a good product though, beware of the marketing bullshit

I can’t listen to the terrible pronunciation of common kitchen vernacular. A couple of these aren’t even Mandolins
