    Oh darn!! That deal I was talking about seems to have ended! However, if you're looking for a BEAST of a full auto Pro blaster, I think $90 is still a phenomenal value! Check the link in this video's description to check it out!

    I love the look of it
    It even has the same rev trigger as the dart zone covert ops Thunderbolt
    My review is in 2 days

      I also really love the look! The rev trigger does look like the one on the Thunderbolt, and It's beginning to grow on me! 😅

    I ordered an omnia pro from Walmart for Black Friday, but I received a Gen 1. No response from Dart Zone yet. Has anyone else who ordered for Black Friday got an update on having a Gen 2 sent to them?

    • @foamquest
      @foamquest  9 місяців тому +2

      I have heard some other reports. I'm under the impression that Walmart still had some gen 1's left and (if we're giving them the benefit of the doubt) accidentally gave some out to people, despite the fact that Dart Zone clearly doesn't want that. Dart Zone should take care of you. Let me know how it goes!

    Try a 3s lipo in it. I found 0 lag with 3s with xt30. It screams with 3s lipo and I honestly could not imagine a more incredible flywheeler than this thing in 3s. I don't have a chronograph but I'm assuming 200+ fps

    • @foamquest
      @foamquest  9 місяців тому +2

      Dang, that does sound impressive! Maybe Dart Zone's next take on this kind of blaster will come with a 3s right out of the box!

    • @anthonytrussoni9926
      @anthonytrussoni9926 9 місяців тому +1

      Totally. I wonder if it was built for 3s and they scaled it down for retailer stores. It just seems fine tuned and natural with the 3s

    Despite Dart Zone fixing a few issues with the rerelease, I still won’t be picking this one up. If I buy a select fire pro blaster, I would like it to perform well. The he fact that the semi auto isn’t really semi auto really bothers me and that would be primarily the mode I would use it on. I like being incomplete control of the rate of fire and I can’t see myself doing that with the Omnia

Someone at DZ distribution/shipping must have been new and shipping entire crates instead of individual units. Someone is getting fired but enjoy those extra blasters! 😅

    I think it’s best to just accept the blaster for what it is. Like it doesn’t have to shoot exactly like the Stryfe X it has 3 firing modes which make it unique over the Stryfe. I think Dart Zone tried but just could not fix the delay 100% it still a great blaster. With the price drop it makes it allot more appealing than the Stryfe X at $120. Also one thing reviewers don’t mention that was a problem with Omnia gen 1 and Stryfe X is that it shredded the darts even causing the tips to come off. Can you say if the gen 2 Omnia fixes this issue?

    • @foamquest
      @foamquest  9 місяців тому

      Yeah, I originally planned on talking more about the dart damage. So, It seems the exact same as the original Omnia. Unfortunately, I noticed that darts took a bit more abuse from the Omnia when compared to both the MK-3 and Stryfe X. Not a deal breaker, but certainly a less positive attribute. But at the end of the day, of course you'll get some dart damage from any pro grade flywheel blaster.

    Hey man, you seem to know this stuff - I have a couple of work mates in the office that have Nerf blasters, and sometimes when someone's dozing of between calls we take a shot at one another. I've been looking at getting one of my own and want something cheap and not too high powered (since we're indoors and not too far apart) but I've no idea what to look for. Any tips?

    • @foamquest
      @foamquest  9 місяців тому +1

      For an indoor setting, I would say the Nerf Rival line could work really well! They are reasonably powerful and are designed to be used by an older audience (teens-adults) they fire at about 100 feet per second, which might sound pretty scary, but I've used them indoors with friends and family and they work really well!! Umm, let me send you a couple video links that might be helpful, and if you decide that Rival isn't quite what you're looking for, or is too powerful, I can recommend something else.

      Here's my review of a newer Nerf Rival blaster. If you watch the video, hopefully you can get a general idea for the power level, based on my firing demo. Again, if Rival looks too spicy (or if you want to use darts instead of rounds), I can make some other great recommendations!

    • @foamquest
      @foamquest  9 місяців тому +1

      Also, a couple other questions. Would you want something especially small? Or does size not matter? Would you want to utilize or avoid battery-operated blasters?

      Here is a 2023 Rival series overview by Coop772. Take some of the firing test with a grain of salt, as some blasters don't seem to be fully charged. But this is a pretty great video to get an idea to what this line offers! And if you're on the fence for any reason, again, I can recommend other great options!

      I was thinking something relatively small, and non-battery powered. I thought the Commander RD-6 looked pretty decent and is dirt cheap too, but I'm open for suggestions.
