    I like to watch your work of mirrorshine shoes and the end it's most better to see the shoes with the mirrorshine.

    I have been working on mirror shining a pair of Alden cordovan shoes and one shoe is there and now trying to catch the other shoe up. It's weird because I put the same number of coats on both shoes but one is just taking a little longer. Learned a lot from watching your video. Thanks

    I don't think I've ever seen any of your videos; however, I am extremely impressed by the quality of your mirror shine, as all of my shoes have a soft shine from regular Saphir cream polish. I think that when I grow up a little and buy more expensive leathers (shell cordovan and others) I may use your technique to do this type of shine. Until then, I think I'll continue to watch more of your videos to in theory get better at it. Thanks!

    Is there any diference if i begin My mirror shine process with mirror gloss and finish it with patte de luxe and make it the opposite? (Begin with patte and finish with mirror gloss)

      I believe that PdL will penetrate deeper and faster if used as first few coats, then MG is easily to buff off.
      However, you can do it the other way around, if you know what you're doing, the results are similar (the only variance is time)

    Hello Scott great video. I see you don't shy way from wax your shells, have you noticed any issues with how the shell reacts to the wax? It seems people shy away from waxing shell because of oil leaking or the fear of hurting it. Thanks for sharing

    • @newinspiration2108
      @newinspiration2108  5 років тому

      absolutely nothing happens as long as you don't cake the wax on the vamp or any area that the shoes flex

    With these shells, why did you go straight to Reno instead of applying rubbing alcohol to take off the acrylic finish?

    • @newinspiration2108
      @newinspiration2108  5 років тому

      I don't think Carmina put any arcylic finish on top of their shell products.

      Patriot 1 hello. That is a very good question. I have been in love with shoes all my life and it was only until very recently that I found out that the frist thing you should do with your new shoes is to polish them! Do a search on the subject "plolishing new shoes before wearing them" Pay especial attention to the answers of the chanel "The Elegant Oxford"
      All the best

    did you use saphir reno at the beginning around 4:28? or is that neutral cordovan creame? Is it better to use that and let them patina?

    Hi again when you wore them did you notice the creases becomes a little white? After use I immediately brushed them and all white disappeared. I got the same as yours and the green 80531 forest both cordovan.

    • @newinspiration2108

      that's called "blooming", shell cordovan is full of oil and fat which will be pushed to the surface when you walk. nothing wrong.

    • @newinspiration2108
      @newinspiration2108  5 років тому +1

      those 2 lasts are quite similar, which is not surprising since they resemble each other, both have high instep and slightly generous width.
