I agree I think for him knowing people love it and see it for the beauty that he did, he is not rolling in his grave like the one said, but rejoicing in having his vision seen for what it was, not the work of a mad man.
I saw the grotto. It was amazing.
It's a breathtakingly beautiful and magical place made of pure imagination and dreams (as well as the most modern construction methods and materials ;)). It's basically the forerunner of Disney World. In fact, Walt Disney was after holidays in Bavaria inspired by none other than Neuschwanstein Castle for his own Magical Kingdom and Sleeping Beauty Castle.
I have been several times with my parents as a child, as an adult with my daughter, and with my granddaughter.
I got to visit this palace, as well as the other palaces associated with Ludwig II. Easily one of my favorites! Fascinating man!
