- Hello, this is "Lovers" a linocut printed in two layers, red and black.
Here I show part of the design, carving and printing process. This linocut has a print area of 23 × 38.5cm on semi-thick manufactured paper of approximately 29 x

Beautiful! Why did you sand your lino board before you started?
Thank you so much!🫶 Linoleum comes with a light oily protective coating. It is better to remove it so that it fixes the design drawing better, and also so that the printing ink can spread completely. It is important to use fine sandpaper, so you do not affect the flat surface of the linoleum. It is also good to clean with alcohol after sanding.
Me encantan estos videos, su trabajo es hermoso 😍👏👏

@@Milinoink You are welcome! Have a great creative day!
@@MrHiArt Thanks! You to!✨
Gorgeous work!!! 😍 Thank you for sharing the creation process.
May I ask you what is the material you use for the block and where to get it?
I'm curiuos because I'm not sure if it's linoleum, the colors and texture simulates wood and I love the effect.
I hope you have many more works to show us, thank you for your art ❤
Thank you so much!❤
The material I am carving is traditional linoleum, this is a little harder and difficult to cut. But thanks to this you can make finer details without fear of them breaking under the pressure of the press as happens with other types of linoleum.
Thank you very much for the support, it means a lot to me♥️.
Hey! What is the green mesh thing? BTW awesome work!
Hello! It is a drawer liner (the kind used in kitchen cabinets to). This helps the linoleum not to slip while I carve it. Thank you so much!✨
@@Milinoink Oh, thanks for the answer!
You’re welcome!✨
Your art is beautiful! I hope your channel grows.😊 May I ask what was the powder? Was it to absorb some of the color to give you a faded look?
Thank you so much!♥️ The white powder is talcum powder. This one I use is baby powder but you can use any regular talcum powder too. It is used to avoid staining the paper, let's say it is a way to keep your hands “clean.” The faded effect in the red print is with a degradation of red ink and extender.
@@Milinoink ahh clever thank you so much!♥️
Why do you put the acrylic over the stencil ?
Hallo! I do it because this linoleum has the same color on the surface as on the inside. By changing the color of the surface I can see what I am carving much better✨
