The media kept pushing that undrafted players BS narrative from the JUMP, so in case Miami get smoked, they can go back and say "what'd you expect, their playing like 4 undrafted players". Nobody in the media is consistent with anything. Butler isnt a superstar. Miami went on a Cinderella run (which wont happen again). Denver is clearly the bigger, better, faster, more skilled team. I agree with J. Best matchups for DEN were LAL and MIL…but the casuals will mention the sweep, which isn’t the point. LAL had the size and each game was a fight. Lakers lost 4 games by a TOTAL of 20 points! Compare that to Miami whose gotten beat by 20 each loss! DEN just ready good. Time to tip the hats.
The best matchup is the Suns (the ONLY team to push the Nuggets to 6 without even having a bench), the Warriors, and maybe the Celtics. The Lakers are not a good matchup, they got swept.

The Lakers were the Nuggets easiest win this whole postseason. The Lakers were supposed to have had the Nuggets figured out after game 1 and never displayed that they did. They literally couldn't win ONE game. The Suns won 2 without a reliable bench.

This series is over. The Heat had a good run. Miami’s best chance was Game 4 when Jokic had 5 fouls. No one for Miami stepped up. It’s not just Jokic/Murray playing well, it’s the role players too. Young centers should model their game after Jokic. Doesn’t settle for jumpers like Embiid, playmaker, leads by example. ELITE.

Yes. Stephen A. Smith was right. I don't care if you're overmatched, the fact that your two starting guards only scored two points between the both of them with one of them literally scoring 0 points is absolutely crazy.
Also, the Miami Heat get annoyed when people keep noting that several of their players are "undrafted," but this is why because it is unprecedented for undrafted non-stars to make it to the NBA at all, let alone the NBA Finals, and now the difference is actually showing because they seem to have no answer for the Denver Nuggets. Their margin of error is very very slim. They have to play almost a perfect game to have a chance to beat the Nuggets every night.
The Miami Heat need another bonafide star alongside Jimmy Butler if they are going to eventually win the championship. They have the heart, they have the tenacity they have the will, but the NBA is elite for a reason. It's the 400 best players in the entire world. If you're going to win a championship, talent is definitely going to play a factor. I don't care how good your coaches are or how hard you work.

Jimmy Butler is not a superstar and never has been. He gets a lot of love for being a player who has a huge amount of heart and has gotten his team to the finals from grit and determination. But the truth of the matter is, the Heat haven't gotten him a superstar to form a duo with. This is literally his 2nd time in the finals in 2 years with nothing to show for it other than the Heat culture of getting there and losing.

While the lack of scoring from its backcourt is hurting Miami alot as SAS points out, the biggest game changer I can see for Miami right now is to drastically pick-up the pace at which they play against Denver
