Actually, the "cancelled" Sonic cartoon thing wasn't even a cancelled show at all. It was SATAM in its early stages. That big Robotnik looking thing was actually an early design FOR Robotnik.

One thing you forgot to mention is that the Game Gear game Tails' Skypatrol was originally a Disney game and the villains were classic Disney characters like Pete (as it was probably a Mickey Mouse game at the time) and it later got reworked as a Sonic game (and that's why the villains have more of a Disney feel rather than a Sonic one!) ^^
Sonic has been everywhere, he was in Ninjala, Monster Hunter Rise, Two Point Hospital, Jingle All The Way, Wreck It Ralph, Ralph Breaks The Internet, Chip ‘N’ Dale, Ready Player One, Paramount Pictures is literally expanding the SCU (the Sonic Cinematic Universe), and I could go on because it’s that much. Also the fact that our lord and savior Lightning McQueen’s friend Mater is next to our lord and savior Sonic is absolutely bonkers.

It's also funny to think that Mickey Mouse and Shadow the Hedgehog have the same color scheme.

Fun Fact: In "Gravity Falls: The Lost Legends", during the part where Mabel was falling through multiple dimensions until she lands in Dimension MAB-3L, you can see one of said dimensions showed the Mystery Shack as a Sonic level (Mystery Shack Zone).

Yeah, and take another reference that I noticed. In the second season, when the crew found the first magic stone (the green one) and soon the temple respectively, this gotta very similar appereance like the Temples of Gaia in Sonic Unleashed. Also, the way how introduce and return the power to that magic stone is how in Unleashed do it, for turn back the power to the the emeralds and restaure the planet
Really, all of that just came out to my mind when I saw the moment for the first time!

Got referenced in shows (to some extent for me), Sonic appeared in MAD parodies, later got his own show on Cartoon Network and would later appear in a show (O.K KO) on a crossover special along with Tails.
Fun fact: CN Latin America also had some promo animations featuring Sonic, Tails and Knuckles to promote Sonic the Hedgehog 2

I already knew about the many collabs they had other than the fact that they had shops with Sonic merch, but when you brung up the Sonic cameo in Hocus Pocus it made me remember when I became a Sonic fan at 11, and noticing this when watching Hocus Pocus thinking OMFG THAT'S A KID IN A SONIC COSTUME!

The reason Disney can sell Ugly Sonic stuff is because it’s classified under parody, as it’s a (somewhat) exaggeration of the original model of sonic and the name is somewhat changed. Kind of like how family guy can have almost any person in their cut away gags
The end credits don’t list Paramount or SEGA in the copyright licenses, and Akiva Schaffer wasn’t allowed to get into specific details about how they acquired Ugly Sonic for use in the film. My guess is that maybe Disney bought Ugly Sonic when Paramount ditched the design in favor of the updated one.

There is one other instance of Sonic airing on a Disney network you left out, which was Sonic X airing on Jetix in Europe (which was a full-on channel there, as opposed to just a block like in US).
And if Disney's able to make Ugly Sonic merch, I wonder if they could add him as a playable character if they ever decide to make their own Smash Bros. someday lol
And if it's all possible, then Captain Jake can be added because well, one thing what do he and Sonic have in common as they're both Blue-themed Mascots of their respective Companies and they have a good mix of Fantasy and Sci-Fi into their stories. Who cares if I'm going to include some Faces from Disney Junior and Playhouse Disney into a Disney All-Stars Battle Royale?
Sonic and Toho also have a strange relationship.
Sonic and Tails plushies (alongside a Sega Dreamcast product placement) make an appearance in Rebirth of Mothra III: King Ghidorah Attacks, and Toho co-produces the Sonic movies.
SEGA and GAINAX (producers of Evangelion, FLCL and Gurren Lagann) also have an interesting relationship.
GAINAX made a lot of games for the Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast, while SEGA manufactures a lot of Evangelion merch. And then, the Evangelion movies are co-productions with SEGA as their first films even before the Sonic movie.
I mean if you want to take the Disney and Sonic relationship even further then how about the fact that Sonic’s original design was inspired by Mickey Mouse and especially Felix the Cat and other animal mascots of the 1930s.
So I guess the connections run deeper than expected.
I was kinda thinking they did had like relationships doing video games like Toy Story, Mickey Mouse and Lion King on Sega Genesis. But not much for Super Nintendo Nintendo I think.

I had a very vivid memory of seeing Sonic Underground on Disney XD in 2012, tree house bumper and all. It was like a lucid dream. To make it better Disney XD that day aired the episode "Sonic Tonic" It all comes back to me very fuzzy.
Now that ik adventures of sonic the hedgehog and sonic underground were on Disney stuff, I want those shows on Disney+.
Great video! I’d like to add that as a kid I was subscribed to the Disney Adventures magazine and they referenced Sonic a LOT. The biggest one that stands out in my mind is that they used to have this section of the magazine where they would determine who would win in a fight between two characters. Around the time the incredibles came out they had Sonic vs Dash and I remember Sonic winning

I just think it's fun that Sonic has had shows on cartoon networks, movies from Paramount who owns Nick, and crossovers with Disney.
The strange relationship between Disney and Sonic actually has me eager to see what Disney-inspired ideas that SEGA, Sonic Team, or hell, Christian Whitehead himself could pull off. I mean, a Jungle themed Zone that's like a combination between The Lion King and The Jungle Book, an Urban themed Zone that has a concept similar to Zootopia. Even a Water themed Zone that's influenced by the Little Mermaid where most action scenes from the movie are thrown into a Sonic game (on a Modern Sonic leveled scenario). I'd even be down for a kickass, Omnidroid inspired bossfight. The possibilities are endless (No Sonic Unleashed pun intended)

Apparently Ugly Sonic in the Chip n Dale movie was supposed to be Jar Jar Binks which made a lot of sense given the satire of the movie. I guess by the time when it was in pre-production, they needed some more relevant that in the hate bandwagon.
