It's not so much Pokemon with Guns as it is Ark: Survival Evolved with more colourful creatures.
But yeh, Palworld is hella fun, and the entire team behind it is Based.
I agree this has so much from Ark. This most recent update is adding so much more to the Chaos.
They are in for a shock how big the game is.
I can def see ark in this game now 😂 ive been addicted to this game for a while no wonder
I love how they actually TALK with their fans, and encourage fan mad content.
Heck they even showcase fan animations on their socials, and when they repost it on their youtube... They CREDIT them.
Seen Nintendo outright STEAL fan designs and not give them credit.

I liked Ark, but never really got into it the way I did Palworld. I think that Palworld being less absurdly demanding of the player kinda helps. It doesn't take literal hours of nursing an animal to tame it, for example. When you have a job, getting home to spend hours to try to tame a dinosaur that can permanently die at a moment's notice isn't a very appealing prospect. It really feels like they took a critical look at Ark, figured out what about it hindered the overall gameplay experience, and did their best to refine the gameplay loop.
Also, Palworld both looking good and running well is a big plus. I built a new computer this year, and Ark still struggles to run well, and largely looks kind of crappy. Palworld, though, runs buttery smooth and looks beautiful, even did before I upgraded. The only performance issues I've ever faced were with the UE4SS modloader, which causes terrible performance on some computers with seemingly no rhyme or reason. It's been doing fine on my new computer, but made the game unplayable on my old one.
