- Liz Zorab has an incredible permaculture setup on a micro-smallholding, with the vegetable garden and food forest being a total of 0.5 acres! Liz produces 85% of her family's annual food needs, and on top of that runs a micro-CSA Veg Box scheme that feeds 20 local families. This is the perfect example of what can be done in a small space.
Huge thank you to Liz Zorab: / lizzorab

Thank you so much for watching! This is a brand new channel dedicated to sharing the stories of inspiring food projects that go beyond sustainability! The channel will properly start in early 2021 but here is a video to get it going :) Many thanks, Huw
Best of luck with it Huw
@@LorraineG123 Thank you :)
This is lovely! Looking forward to seeing more of what you do with this channel.
Love this channel. Just found it. Would love to know what you do to improve your soil. Debs from Australia
I would love to see more micro farms like this and part time growers.
My thoughts exactly.
I highly encourage society to join in. Perennial fruit trees and berry bushes
@@gypsy_haas5869 you’re sure a burden. At least to our social well-being. Try a little honey Instead of a burdensome negative comments.
Are the definition feel good? How about this instead.
Your reply is on point that we all should do our share, but maybe do it encouraging instead of negative.
God’s best on our quest to help the planet
Great video! Even though we’re familiar with Liz’s story through her channel (which we love) this was a different perspective. So interesting and beautifully put together. Well done Huw! Looking forward to future videos of this type.
Hi Geoff and Deb, I'm really glad you liked this perspective! Stay tuned :)
Doing all that you do to feed 20 families a week is a pure act of love, giving and kindness to your environment and the people who you share this with. If more people could do this in a neighbourly way and with communal help the world and our environment would be in a much better place. There is a group in Dartington which allows people to volunteer to help and learn skills while paying a small sum for veg boxes. This makes sence. They may be otherwise having to rent landspace and are learning the skills needed and get enjoyment throughout the experience. Well done Liz!! and hope Huw is back with us soon. Big love from Devon xx
Caroline, that sounds like a win win for the people helping out and the people growing the food.
Liz you are the best. Love this format.
So glad you like this style!
I love watching Liz Channel. Thank you for making this
Liz has a fab channel! You are very welcome :)
So inspiring !!!!
One day, I would love to do this !!! First grow enough for myself though.
Thank you so much Rashmi! Good luck with all your growing! :)
@@RegenerativeFilms Also appreciate how it grew organically from 7 members to 20 members.
Huw, this format is great! It would be amazing if you could somehow work some small plot layouts into some of the videos in the future. That would help people figure out how to use their small parcels of land and may inspire someone to get started growing food. The friendship you have with Liz is really nice. You two make me wish I could move to Wales and farm. Perhaps I will get to visit one day. I hope this channel takes off as it is definitely helping people. Blessings!
Didn't know Liz produced food for CSA! She and Mr J are such an inspiration. So down to earth. Sending much love to Liz and fam and Huw and team x
Great job! Blessings to Liz and to Huw and to all of you . Regards from Italy
I find Liz's story so inspiring! Thank you for this other perspective. Having just moved onto 0.5 acres, I look forward to working with the land and soil to feed my family. Liz and Huw have the best gardening videos!! Loving this new project!
She really knows what she is doing.
So inspiring , I’ve got so many questions about how to nurture my land , plan planting etc thank you !! More films please , this was great !
This is beautiful in so many ways. I have a strong desire to do this kind of thing myself. I look forward to seeing how you manage your land and business.
For now I'll concentrate on making my little garden into an even for myself, wildlife and my veggies and fruit.
Many thanks for you kindness in sharing what you do. Xx
Yay thanks Adele, I am so glad you enjoyed this! Good luck with all of your growing :)
Liz Zorab love what you do
Very inspiring. I wish there was something where I live like this. I'm tempted to start one, but first step is buy the land. :)
So special! We're buying weekly from a company, Mama Earth Organics, their local only basket, as well as from Sosnicki Organic Farms directly, a true CSA, here in Ontario Love the good that this does to our own and the land's health, while supporting our communitiy. #banglyphosate, #fuckbayermonsanto
This is great Huw, really looking forward to more videos like this! Loved seeing Liz’s place from this perspective, very inspiring 😊
Blessings to all!
YOU are an inspiration Thank you :)
It’s so inspiring to see what can be done in such a small space! #gardengoals
You are so cool Liz. This is a great story 💚😁🐨
This is def. the future, been growing for 10 years now. Permaculture brings life.
God bless this woman.
I love the idea of this channel
I love your videos! These short films really make me want to buy a field and start an agroforrest!
So cool! I've been scouring the internet for content like this! I'd love to see a little bit more about how her operation differs from traditional urban farming models (the regenerative piece). Like, what does she plant to attract the right types of insects and birds and how did she nurture soil health? Good stuff!
Looking forward to this new channel! Would love lots of this kind of inspiration.
my dream is to do the same thing with 0.5 acre, so inspiring! thank you Huw And Liz!
So glad you enjoyed the video☺️
So awesome guys!! From a little farm in Nova Scotia, Canada 🇨🇦
PLEASE keep producing videos! they’re so quality
Thinking about doing this next year. Going to start looking into it this winter and see what you have to do to set it up.
This all looks so exciting! I'll look forward to more in the future.
What an inspiring film! Thank you 🙏
Wonderful Video! Looking forward to seeing more for sure! Thanks to all involved!
Please keep this great work up, this along with all the individuals that I have followed over the last few years (Huw & Liz). This has inspired me so much that I know now this is the way forward for me and my micro project to aid the local community and wellbeing. Thank you.
congrats liz fantastic gardener
Tremendous Video Huw and Liz! Truly inspiring. All the best for your new channel!
Well done Huw, love this perspective. Thanks for sending me here Liz.
Very beautiful veggies. A sign of dedication and hard work. Good to see it being shared with those who appreciate this.
A lovely video to show what one growing home can do. Well done Liz,God bless and stay safe.
Excellent video - Thanks!
Thankyou Huw and Liz for this lovely film, I am so inspired by the way Liz grows her produce and looks after her soil. I try to emulate with the limitations of just an allotment and no ducks or chickens and am really noticing the benefits of no-dig and nurturing the soil.
amazing! I just found this channel and its wonderful to see what people can do with micro-holdings to smallholdings if they work with the land properly. Inspirational! And the veggies look delicious!
Just following her along for 20 Minutes everyday would be a big help for everybody. Be more independent.
I love this! Can't wait for more videos! 😁
Thanks Owen! So glad you do :D
wow! Liz you're such an inspiration
Amazing!!!
11/10! Grazie Mille.
Great video, interesting, informative and entertaining. I’ve subscribed and shared with friends and family and look forward to following. Well done 🤩🤩🤩
Yay thank you Jeanette!! So pleased you enjoyed it and I really appreciate you sharing :)
Love this can’t wait to see more 🧡🙌🏼🧑🏼🌾
Thank you so much Ben! Stay tuned 😊
Brilliant! If I could afford the land I'd love to do this. A dream for the future, maybe!
Great video 👍
So glad you enjoyed it Helen! :)
05:42 that look in her eyes is a life goal of mine!
I love this 😍
Glad you do Connor! :)
I'm wandering how you nourished the land?
We have 6 acres with no top soil, mostly clay.
It appears very hard to find local free range cattle farmers who have spare manure without nasties in it.
Nice
Wow! That’s amazing! I need to shadow her...
Isn't it just!! :)
I would’ve like to know more about the methods used to produce so much on .5 acres.
Love from Pakistan
here from Huws' channel
Nice video. What growing zone are you in?
💕💯
Lol the food comes out the ground but if she drops one once it's been harvested it gose into the compost. Just pick it up
this is the real non systematic solution to climate change, get people doing beautiful stuff like this
Viet nam👍🇺🇸
Misleading title, you can also feed 20 families wie 0.1 hectares. The questions is how much. But great way of sharing the extra food.
It’s impossible to provide the calories and nutrients required to feed twenty families on half an acre of land.
lmao 20 families shes got enough veggies for 3 people.
This was so boring. Wtf at least show the farm and the set up…absolute snooze fest
