Taking a walk in a beautiful place is nice, but Alyssa was very vanilla 😂 plenty of other fun things to do in life.
That early video of the fog rolling over the trees at the beach was breathtaking. Also yes, strep as an adult can be very bad
If you are going to stay in a northern state, a small wood burning stove is a great option. Heaters go out, but wood always burns!

I love having the forest all to myself too. Both on hikes and camping. In the desert it feels like everyone's on top of one another and there's no privacy. I love waking up to my private space.
I'm from this area and I was just there visiting in early August. That mountain lion sighting was the talk of the town! Many popular hiking trails were closed. So great to see others enjoying the enchanting beauty of Olympic National Park. Truly one of Washington's gems!

Hope you are feeling well now! Someday you should drive up to Alaska. You can be completely alone whenever you want to be here. It's a great place to do vanlife in the summer. So many places to camp for free. Wood all over for campfires. Interior AK can go weeks with no rain and it never gets dark during the summer. If you come up later in the summer you can possibly see the Auroras starting in mid August. The drive up through British Columbia is stunning. Lots of wildlife, bears, bison, elk, wolves, etc... If you don't have bear spray I would highly recommend it. Even down there you should carry it. Take care!

Hey Alyssa, hope your feeling better❤My go to immune support is Elderberry. If you spot some in the forest, you could pick it & make your own elderberry syrup. My co-worker does that. Or perhaps go to a local farmers market and buy some from there. Safe travels❤❤❤
My daughter makes, and sells, elderberry syrup kits. We swear by it!
Hyssop, mallow, horehound teas, as well, are fantastic for anything respiratory.

I can 100% relate to your feeling as though the forest hugs you.
There is no place on earth like the mountainous forests, for me.
I spent my youngest years in bush Alaska and I remember walking on the road with my mother from the grocery store to my house along the KUSKOKWIM River, during the winter. And guess what? There was a pack of wolves on the middle of the river where someone put their rubbish. My mom was holding my small hand and dragging me along the road in a rushed walk. I’m sure tge wolves seen us on the road because there were no trees to hide us. We made it home safely.
Sorry you got sick. Glad you got to see the Olympic National Park. I live a bit south of Seattle and have a Winnebago Era van. Nice scenery on your video! Take care.

I don’t make it up to the Ho very often, but my home away from home is the southern Olympics. I’m heading for Skokomish tomorrow morning after picking up a friend. We both interact with Sasquatch throughout western Washington. The last time we went to Skokomish, the Sasquatch came and called, then later we saw orbs floating through the woods. It’s magical up there.

I'm a pilot out of the northend of Seattle and fly the Cessna over parts of the Olympic mountain range every now and then. I like to fly into Forks or Quillayute, then loop around to Westport to Olympia and back north. Really nice scenery over that way
