Agree, give me kerplunk and 1039 smoothed out slappy hours any day. I was at that show, saw them play probably once a month for about 2 years at the phoenix in Petaluma
1:49 You know you are at a good venue when the security cracks a smile and starts bobbing along to the tunes.... like shouldn't he be pissed that hes got the best hair there and hes stuck at work?
he doesn't have. This is the original. There are stickers in it today that are there since before this show. BJ had a so called 'replica' during Nimrod Tour, which he used for the Standard E tunning songs that were released in Nimrod. But the guitars never meant to be to fool people, the stickers are completely different. This nimrod era guitar is now on Punk Rock Museum of Las Vegas
@manugs7936 lol I'm a clown because their music has become lazy with shitty lyrics? Why don't you try writing something in response instead of an idiotic little picture? Point out how wrong I am by examples of good song writing and lyrics on the last 8 or so albums.

His hair is shaggin in his eyes.
And it's dreaded too 🤣
His feets too.
He would have made a great hobbit
So, he's dragging his feet to hit the street that night, then drive along that shit town lights 🎉
Practically studio quality.
So talented.
they actually had an enormous commercial potential back in the day. Congrats to the guy who got them signed to a major label
Kurt Cobain was still alive
That's right, Kurt Cobain is the greatest exponent of Grunge, but the greatest example of a good punk.
Jason Mamoa working security.
Aquaman retired from dc to be a security guard
Its pronounced 'Samosa'. Geez. Some people.
Haha 😂
lol i thought the same when i saw the guy for first time
To me he looks more like Rob Zombie, maybe it’s just me
Compare this to year 2024, there's no comparison. 90's era all the way! 💪🏻🐂🤘🏻
for greenday or for everything?
@@TheSickNeeds Mostly all bands of today and age. Couldn't beat seeing the bands at their peak in the 90's.

@@RegularJoes ❤️
It’s amazing how much deeper his voice was.
Love how even this early Billie was changing the line to "im taking speed just for you"
I didn't know they were meth heads at the beginning of their career until recently.
lies
@@hermanspiteri9929 what
cause he absolutely was on speed 😂 it's a big reason why his voice is so low on earlier recordings. Think he stopped in 95ish
Can’t believe I played with my own band on the same stage that my favorite song debuted
Never for see footage makes this day a great day
Fun fact: about 18 months later, he'd play a very stripped down version at Madison Square Garden 🤣🤣🤣
1:49 You know you are at a good venue when the security cracks a smile and starts bobbing along to the tunes.... like shouldn't he be pissed that hes got the best hair there and hes stuck at work?
This is such an incredible song ! Love Billie Joes energy back when !! 🤘🏼❤
NEW RARE FOOTAGE!!!!!
Favorite Green Day song, incredibly tight, good recording too.
Not a phone in sight. When seeing the band meant actually seeing the band. The 90s was the high point of live rock. Where the wave finally broke.
Amazing to finally see this! I love getting earlier, unknown recordings of these dookie era songs!
0:52 Tim armstrong Stage diving ?
Yes he is.
is that really tim armstrong? i mean it look like him but is there any proof...?
@@Greenday8183what proof do you need ?? It's clearly him, having fun in the pit 😍
@@bengoshi4 yes now i saw it, where a bit stoned yesterday 😂😂
@@Greenday8183 Then you are forgiven.. I am a stoner too 😁😁
Great vocal in this one
Crowd surfer at :52 looks like Tim
Idk if I ever saw Billie in shorts.
And 31 years later I watched their sold out show at Oracle Park stadium concert in San Francisco, they were destined for greatness 🤘🏼
10 months later they would be changing my life forever by way of 97.7FM in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.
It seems that the girl filming knew the song already
Hindsight is etc etc...wonder how many people were like ...."oh Fuck ...a new song?"..haha
It's a beautiful tune....
The drummer was pretty good btw
When i'm baby . Greenday was Cool..
I thought she's first known performance was at the last Gilman Street show they played before they got banned
1 month later I was born :)
WOW!!!!
The 90s were awesome! I only like 90s Green Day.
Nice!!! Never seen this
Wow, this is a piece of art..
I love how Billie Joe extends the intro on the VERY FIRST frickin performance of the song 🤣 Good to start how you mean to go on Billie 😂
this video is fucking awesome
The GreenDay non-cringe era!
This
Any new green day fans should be warned that live is where they bring it
Rock on 🎶💚
and 13-months later they are playing at Woodstock '94
Mike Dirnt sure does have long hair
Looks like a different band
Ushering in the Dookie era!
Mike’s hair 😂😂😂
NO WAYYYY
I wonder if that drummer (his name escapes me) regrets leaving.
That is already Tre on drums. The former drummer, John Kiffmeyer (Al Sobrante) left the band in August 1990
@@greendayplay Wow. It sure doesn't look like him. But hey, its was a long time ago! Nice vid, BTW.
So much better than the greenday we have now...
Нормально, нормально. Валит хорошо. И так естественно
Niiiice!!!!!!!🤘
They were playing crowds that big in cali before dookie came out?
they went overseas touring for kerplunk it was successful
I saw them play maybe 20 times at the Phoenix theater where this show was. They always sold out, capacity is 720 people
before dookie, they had a huge following for indie standards. their shows we’re packed after kerplunk came out in ‘91
these guys realiy punks
Pogoing still alive in 90s
Tim Amstrong 0:52
Does BJA still play that guitar?
Yes, it's his classic Blue guitar he got from his mom in 1982
@@greendayplay As if he doesn't have a bunch of them.

Nice, its good to be reminded they didnt always suck. Their overwhelmingly embarrassing ways have become too much to deal with now.
