We didn't have a lot of money, but my dad knew how much I wanted to see them so he surprised me with two tickets. I remember Billy Joe mooning us. Lol. It just looked like a little white blob from our nosebleed seats. Maybe he did it at every show, but it was funny. "F George Bush!". Still really the only big concert I've ever been to. My dad will have been gone ten years this year, but we'll always have our time at that concert (and so many other good memories). Thanks daddy. I'll always remember that you did that for me

They parked the rental in the hotel parking lot and let me stay inside and listen to the rest of it. I still remember that day, twenty years ago, when the world was still so large and confusing and this album, like the ones before it, reminded me I was not alone.
Green Day may not be the greatest rock band of all time, and I would not say any song on this album comes close to being one of the greatest rock songs ever. However, I still feel this may be the greatest rock album I have ever heard. The entire album works as an overall rock opera story and it was an anthem to those of us who were finding ourselves new adults in a world/nation that revealed it was not the shining illusion our younger selves were taught that it was. Unfortunately this was another work of art that not enough people took to heart and we find ourselves where we are now.
Classic, this album and 21st Century Breakdown were the last Green Day albums I bought. Sadly it was all slowly downhill from there, but we will always have classics like this!

Anywho, we became really good friends. And then one day, she just stopped showing up to class. And that was that. Never saw nor herd from her again. And I don’t know why but her random disappearance really hurt me on the inside. It was like I had finally formed a true friendship with a beautiful, funny, and kind girl that was the same age as me which really meant the world to me…being how I’m not so confident around girls. And then. Just like that. It was over. I still don’t know what happened to her, and because of that I’ve been left with so many questions like; where did she go? Is she still alive? What happened to her? How is she doing? You know…It’s been 2 years now since I last saw/spoke to her, going on 3 this New Years, and I still don’t know what happened to her. So to me, Whatshername makes me think of her and how those couple of months we spent together in the class room made going to class fun for once. That and she really helped me come out of my shell. And come to think of it, I think the reason why her random disappearance really hurt me on the inside was because I started to develop feelings for her, and I never got to tell her how I felt (if you know what I mean❤). So that left me with some unresolved feelings. Anywho. At this point in my life, I’ve started to come to the harsh fact that I’ll probably never see nor hear from her ever again. And if that’s the case, then. You were a great friend to me. And I’ll always remember you for that. I’ll miss you CeCe. But if you do happen to be reading this CeCe, please tell me…WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU!? Any way that’s it…
