Thanks for posting this video! I have a 2011 f150 EcoBoost (I believe xlt) I installed the remote start but I could not find the right code to have it show in my gage cluster! After more searching I came across your video and happened to notice your code (before the rewrite) showed the same as mine. So I continued on to change (rewrite) the code to what you suggested for your model truck, and low and behold it worked! I now have the remote start option in my gage cluster! Thanks again!
thanks man, i believe my remote starts set for an FX truck in the cluster and its an XLT so i have no air or heat during remote start. fixing it asap with this method thanks bro!
hi, Purchased this Perimeter Plus Anti-Theft Alarm System Part # FS7Z-19A361-A to install it on my edge 2016 titanuim but it looks like I purchased the wrong item, wich part # did you install in your truck? Thank you!
You can do either or, you just have to be careful on what you're changing in the as-built section since it's not clearly labeled on what is what. I believe since this video, Forscan has released updates to include the options without needing to modify the as-built portion.
So I wasn’t sure if Forescan worked on the 12th gen F150’s. I. Got a 2014 FX4 and want to do the remote windows as well as remote folding mirrors. Would that be possible?? Thanks
Global windows should be able to be activated, though I'm not sure how. Remote (or auto) folding mirrors is not possible as far as I'm aware, I did a lot of searching for that.
Just curious if you can shut the truck off by pressing the start button once? I enabled remote start on my 2013 xlt xtr by changing 0047 to 0148 and I have to manually shut the truck off with the key. Canadian truck.
@@Jlieg when I try my taillights flash. Not sure if the code is different for a Canadian truck or possibly a issue with my fob... Will pressing your brake kill the engine?

@@Jlieg Thanks, figured it out. I dont necessarily think it matters whether your truck is "FX4" trim or not. Mine is FX4 from CA and I had to use the forscan google spreadsheet -> IPC tab and go by what you have installed in your truck.

My video may apply to you, otherwise there's another video where another gentleman made one with a XLT. Same process, just different code punching in forscan.
@@Jlieg Thanks, can you send me that link to the video? The codes seen on your forscan, are different than mine. Any help is appreciated, thanks so much!
Honestly, I'm not sure. Never heard of a FX gauge cluster with blue lighting. Once you check your as-built data, it should somewhat help you decide which you choose based on the original value
6C0A needs to be changed to 6F0A if you have no rear defrost/or heated/cooled seats 6F2A if you have rear defrost but no hested/cooled seats 6FEA if you have both rear defrost and heated/cooled seats

Hey man. Do you know how to remove the automatic daytime running lights feature using forscan?
Edit: this video may apply to trucks that came from Canada, not just for FX models. Correct me if yours didnt come from there.

Yes
@@Jlieg ok. Thanks for the input. Looks like I've got some research ahead of me..
Did you have to get new key cut at the dealer for your remote?
Yes. You will need the key that has the additional button for the remote start feature.

I did not have a backup camera, so unfortunately I'm no help.
