@@DeviousToaster It's not an OBS plugin. It's a BarRaider plugin called OBS tools that you install through the StreamDeck app. You can find it in the "More Actions..." menu.

The StreamFX plugin won't show up in the OBS :( deleted it and redownloaded it but still won't show the "Scene Mirror" option :(
When you were demoing the freeze frame I 100% expected you to be gone when it resumed with the chair spinning around

Straight up gotta say thanks. I barely used plugins before i found your channel. but I've been messing around with plugins and oml the quality of my strum compared to how it use to be has increased. Realizing there's so much u can do with OBS as a tool rather just a way to connect to twitch will change your channel's content tenfold.
One thing I created recently is I downloaded a bunch of green screen fire effects from footagecrate, set them all over my scenes and paired it with a fire burning sound effect and an evil laugh sound effect and made it so that you can set my stream on fire for a specific amount of bits. I'd love some other ideas of trigger suggestions, I saw you were using a sub with a message as one on this video. I've never tried that.

thanks for the video! didnt realize a freeze plugin already existed. the first technique i tried came from some other youtuber and it involved using a real-time replay plugin, capturing the last millisecond, and looping the video, but it used like 3x the amount of cpu power and was a huge pain in the butt and felt like too hacked up of a solution.
Actually, you can use a Stream Deck to turn filters on and off by just having the Stream Deck activate a key combination after setting it in OBS. 😃

It's a bit of a workaround, but there is an a OBS Bar Raider set of actions on the stream deck that will let you toggle filters.

I'm no streamer, by any means. I came across your channel looking up streaming tips, as I am a teacher who had to make the switch to online teaching (like many others). You have very useful tutorials, that I'm sure are appreciated around the world. Heck, if I got seriously into live streaming & wanted to make my streams with my students way more visually stunning, I'd sure be stuck to your channel watching & learning. But, I do not need to be this fancy with it. Although, the only bit of a suggestion I can offer, is that there are times that I have a hard time understanding what you are saying. So, when you were talking about "Four night" vs. "Fortnite", I could understand people's comments. So, just be aware that, like myself, you tend to slur words. It took a couple of my students & colleagues to point that out, which I have been working on enunciating better.
I live in Germany, and i am a greek, English is my third language, and i could understand every single word ten times better here rather than listening to the President of Merica™ when he talks about saving the Monkeys in the Rainforestwoods of Panama (no clue if he ever talked about this specific topic but i am sure he will in the near future).
To make it short,...slurring words ( i needed to google that word ) makes him "unique" and it is his style...so i guess, a teacher / professor, has that "lecturing people thingy" deep anchored in his DNA and that somehow makes the whole thing here interesting for me too. Because i just landed and jumped out of my UFO last night and seek out to find Human DNA, fresh Human DNA that i can take with me back to my homeplanet...to do "special" things with it.
I only wanted to look out for HighEnd - TopTier - GAMERS DNA but with your comment about "slurring" i guess i will collect me some nice Teacher DNA too :D
No seriously, i have literally zero issues understanding every word he is saying, and i like people that talk a bit faster because my brain is sucking up all the infos fast enough anyway....like a sponge, but thats personal preference i guess...or something that can be "teached" :D
PS: i hope you don´t take every line too serious and maybe you found it funny (i sure did ) and please don´t report me to the NSA/FBI/MOSSAT/KGB/HelloKittysClub ...i already have all those VIP Membership ClubCards :D :D :D

NIce vid and btw you can download baraider's plugin obs for stream deck if you want to enable/disable filters without hotkeys...but you need to open a port to your router to work...

How do I delay the vintage filter so that it only activates at the crucial moment of the song for the 'To Be Continued' meme? When I use my hotkey, the song starts playing but the vintage also kicks in straight away. I've already figured out the timing for the freeze, just can't figure out the vintage filter delay.

just for info, in new patch freeze plugin can adjust a timer when freeze the scene, so i think its not necessary put a key for activate.

Only via a hotkey. Lioranboard doesn't work with UA-cam. I am, however, looking into another alternative that might work on multiple platforms.

Taking a screen shot of entire desktop
Loading that up into a scene
Cropping out the OBS window ( Required the preview to be in the EXACT same position every time )
then switching over to it to display
I had no idea about the Freeze Frame Filter existed :(

Ok so heyo Nutty, I dropped the FreezeFilter inside OBS folder and it didnt show up in my Cams filters, I am using a Sony A5100 connected through a Capture Card called Aver Live Gamer Mini

You can apply filters to scenes too!

Thanks for this tutorial. One thing is bugging me tho. Not sure why but when I open OBS and activate the effect the freeze doesn''t work the first try. Any clue why?
Activate is when your webcam is "Activated" (you can either click the "Activate" or "Deactivate" buttons, or set it to be deactivated when not visible)
Show is when the "eyeball" is set to show the webcam.

Hey! I figured out what the problem was. In your "THUG" scene, make sure when you add your camera, you add the "source" and not the "scene". Once you make sure that the camera is selected within the camera scene, it will allow you to place a "scene" into the camera nest. You'll see what I mean if you change your camera - Should fix this! :D

Add the whole camera scene as a source to each of your other screens. Any changes you make to the camera scene itself will be reflected in any other scenes that are using the camera scene as a source (i.e. the whole point of using nested scenes)

I went to add the "Thug Life" scene into my camera scene as shown in the video but it did not show as a scene in my Sources. I have done all the steps exactly as said. Did I miss a step I am not aware of?

it's probably because when you made the source mirror, you selected the scene webcam, instead of the source webcam. I had the same problem but this fixed it for me. It won't let you add a scene that has a source mirror of the scene you're adding it in, if that makes sense.

Anyone didnt get the Freeze Filter on OBS aswell after dropping the files inside OBS directory? Need a hand here!
Make sure you put them in the correct folders, if they aren't in the right folder they don't show up.
Can anyone help? I made the nested scene and did the source mirror, but when I try to input the thug life scene into the nested scene, it won't let me? I can put other sources into the nested scene though. Not sure what's happening
