Shocking how healthy and relatively non-skeletal and wrinkled Jimmy looks here. Compare with the end in Oakland, in July. He aged ten years during this tour. Not saying this as a troll - I'm a Zep fanatic and the 77 tour is my favorite by far. Thanks so much for posting.

The way artificial intelligence is advancing, I don’t see why it won’t eventually be able to generate the rest of the show visually, and match it to the bootleg audio. Even a full virtual reality replication… two years ago I would have laughed at such a notion, but AI is shocking me every day lately, with what it is now capable of… and the rate of improvement is insane.

Someone asked me why my pictures were turning out so much better than theirs when we were taking pictures. I said "Wait." I wiped off their lens and boom perfect pictures.

Wound up getting eighth row center, should've got first row, but, oh well! John Paul Jones's bass was so overwhelming I had to go to the side of the auditorium to get away from the sound. Okay, so according to the Reddit post this was filmed with a regular 8mm spring wound Bell & Howell "Electric Eye" home movie camera with auto exposure (it did an excellent job!). I was beginning to think this wasn't Super 8 as you can just make out the sprocket holes at the top and bottom left. Super 8 would be in the middle. The peculiar thing is this video is 18fps. The Bell & Howell Electric Eye camera ran at 16 fps. Maybe a different model was used that did run 18fps. But after watching a video on this camera, to my amazement, you could load 5 ASA film in this camera! That would be extremely fine grain high resolution film. They used some sort of film to that effect. Also, the filmer in the post said they shot 3 rolls of film. At 16fps, that would mean 12 minutes of footage was shot. That means this is only half the footage. Can't wait to see the other half! Now if we could just find a good sound source. Hopefully it exists!

@@ledzepfilm oh darn. So maybe that post on Reddit wasn't legit. He said he shot 3 reels. And three 16fps 8mm reels are 4 minutes each making 12 minutes of footage. Glad to have this that's for sure!

What's amazing is this is 8mm. Super 8 more than likely. Could pass as 16mm. Must've used a low ISO speed film. Maybe ISO 100, 50, or even 25? And used a super fast, high quality crystal clear lens. It's perfectly exposed. What was the aperture set to? I don't see any blurring so the shutter wasn't super slow. Probably was an XL camera to do this with a slow speed film. And what camera was used? It did a great job! Do you know what brand of film and speed was used? Or take a guess? I'm big into photography. This makes me want to try out Super 8. I'm used to cruddy looking images from Super 8 but this is gorgeous. Haven't picked up a Super 8 since 1980 using my parents camera when I was maybe not even 8 years old yet. Still have it too. I'll have to check it out. Now if it was only 1977 and I could sneak it into a Led Zeppelin concert. That would be the Capitol Centre btw. 😉
