Great work guys! That was one very difficult job. Thanks for uploading. I like very much your Suzuki SV650 videos also, please keep them coming. Thank you again! SW France
David is a good friend for helping you with that. I have an 06 LJ and I dread the day I have to drop the tank. That old skid did its job so the new one will probably be just fine. They will take a beating. Thanks for keeping it real and showing what the trouble areas are and how you worked through them.
I just did mine by myself in 2 hours I assembled tank and cover wit straps before u mount up the assembled tank and cover together and on the front bolts a 3/8 sachet with 1/2 " socket and it fits in top and you can reach the head of bolt then tighten with socket on but on bottom
Great video! I will be doing this shortly but I plan on completely dropping the tank and replacing the fuel pump with a Bosch unit. Most people say you should do that while you have the tank out? Keep the content coming!
To be honest to drop the tank again wouldn’t be so bad it’s the whole straps and plate and getting the plate in under the tank that was a bitch lol good luck on your Jeep!
Should have pulled the tank. It a real mf. Them carriage bolts suck because the bracket is rusty, so they spin you have to pry down. Keep a lot of force on the bolts and then hit it with your air gun and if you get real lucky you won’t have to put an air chisel.😢 remember if you think your going to replace that back sill, pull the tank or you will drill the tank that you can’t buy when I put the front bolts back in I will weld brackets to the bolts so they won’t spin. Mine is the 05 extreme collector item!!!!
Thanks for the video and Great job! I have been rebuilding a Junky Jeep on my channel also. I even named it JJ for Junky Jeep lol. I have replaced just about everything on it. Check it out, I'm sure you can get some ideas for future videos.

All you had to do is put straps on before you put tank or shield up into position

You should of replaced it with a savvy Offroad silver gas tank , why go oem when you can go better lol.
Gotta spend what I can afford lol I wish I could have done that
Smokin Monkey I feels u would of love it with the yellow
A lot of the aftermarket skids/tanks require body lift too. im trying to decide what route to go with mine.
JEEP = Just Empty Every Pocket
