Bicycle touring Namibia - part 2 | Cycling around the planet #24

- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- In the second part of cycling through Namibia I leave the Brandberg mountain and cycle towards the Atlantic coast. I stock up on food and water in Walvis Bay before heading back into the Namib desert, where I cross the famous Gamsberg pass and Spreetshoogte pass. I stay one night in Solitaire, before cycling further to the legendary Sossusvlei. The scenery is amazing, it wants to make me fly the drone every day. When I see the blue waters of the Orange river, I know I have reached the border to South Africa.

Bravery defined ! You're telling a unique story and history will not forget. Well-done bro ❤️❤️
Magnificent and masterful!!
extraordinary !...
What a wonderful journey
Awesome video!....you're tough 👍
I have been waiting for long time your content. Thanks for makes me happy
Amazing video
amazing journey and video/music,tank you!!!!
Hi, I started following you today after watching the two videos about Namibia. An extraordinary adventure, great!
Now, maybe they've already written it to you and now I add up to the others but? You have a low seat. This doesn't help performance but neither does your knees. Of course, it's just a suggestion.
Good continuation of adventure and thanks for what you show us😀
Desert Love. More than beautiful. Great work, Niels.
Well, I have seen a good part of your videos and I can say that for me you have become number one. Your stories are special. They are documentaries, first-person stories. You touch incredible places and transmit unique knowledge and emotions.
Thanks and have fun
Amazing camera work,Namibia fascinates me, you capture that amazing scenery so wonderfully. And you have such courage in a perilous landscape.
Exceptional music, landscape, sportsman, photographer.
Wind, Sand...😂
Respect!!! Great video! Thank you
His videos show how bicycle is where it's at. None of the other videos can have this level of oneness with the beautiful sound and the location s
Bravo 👏 , thank you for giving the inspiration. Never seen such a beautiful land. Hope to see it up close in person someday.
It would certainly be worth your effort. 🙏🌄🌍💖
Another brilliant video….thank you for sharing!
Superb video and editing. Unbelievable how much time it must take to set up all the drone and setting up ride by shots. Excellent work!
That was worth the wait ! Many thanks for taking time to share that
Amazing journey, amazing shots, there were definitely many more. 9:14 - Fog bow - nature shows its beauty
A quite remarkable journey and film. I cannot imagine the physical and mental hardships you must have endured at various points of your bicycle ride. I think the relentless winds would have soon finished me. The lack of food and water. You are made of strong stuff. An incredible achievement Niels.
Where next?
South Africa will be the next video
Great work, Iohan would be very proud
That opening sequence at your campsite was wonderful! Fantastic filmmaking!
An indescribably beautiful image derived from your passion, preserverance, and how well you organized the journey, I'd like to give you one more encouragement, keep going 🎉
Brilliant, best landscapes, videography, music and cycle touring on UA-cam, congratulations mate 👏👏👏
I think he also really knows what he s doing.
Glory to the Creator of beautiful Namibian landscapes!
Great camera work, thanks Niels!
Have a great time in SA!
Thank you Nils and team for another spectacular video. I have travelled many times on some of the same roads by car, and they are far, especially in the desert, so you must be superfit. Congratulations and well wishes on your yourneys. Maybe you have seen some videos of another Dutch biker, Bas Idsinger? 🙏🌄🌍🎊🎀
Very impressive to even try this! We know it's Extremely Dangerous trekking or Biking through a Remote Desert Landscape! Also if anything goes wrong there's No One to Call! Congratulations you made it! Great Achievement..
*Absolutely incredible.* The scenery of Namibia, wow, the sheer emptiness and beauty.
Watched last night. Looked wonderful. Great drone work and well put together. Really enjoyed it.
Simply magical.
Such a beautiful artistic video of Namibia Niels! Absolutely love it. We would not ever see this beautiful landscape if not for you venturing through it and recording your journey. Welcome back, we've missed you! Looking forward to more.
Thanks, I had been away cycling in Spain for two months, hence the delay in posting this video
Hello my friend, thank you very much for this beautiful sharing, I watch all your posts with pleasure. Once again, if you happen to be in Fethiye (Turkey), I'll wait, I'm proud to welcome you as a guest, good luck.
I'm so glad I found your channel. Incredible journey, thank you for documenting it. Iohan would be proud!
I come, I see, I conquer
amasing amasing episodes. thankyou!
Ja, Niels, you ought to make a video or teach a masterclass about putting together a video like this. One should ideally view this on a big screen. An interesting aside: My father worked on paving Spreetshoogte Pass road. It's so steep, erosion of the road would otherwise be a constant problem. 🙏🌍🌄🎊🎀🌺🎈
Great episode. Pleasure to watch. Keep up the good work!
Amazing, Difficult, Beautiful area
Epic ride !!! Here to follow along
Phenomenal.
Beautiful! But! This doesn't look like fun to me, even if the landscape is certainly beautiful. I drove around the Baltic Sea last year. Is clearly more my climate. :D
I love this kid. He keeps it incredibly real 💯
Great videos. It would be interesting to get more insights how you manage to get food & water supplies in the middle of the desert. Also how to get enough power for all the batteries. And also how you are financing the whole adventure. Stay safe!
Was well worth the wait and then some👍 let's see wat south Africa brings, have fun mate!
🥰🥰dankje
Another great video Niels, great presentation with beautiful photography.
Stunning drone footage!
Cheers 👍
Nice video 🙂
The video is extraordinary, yes, but I don't think I would have managed to have the mental robustness to drive all these lonely stretches alone. Hats off.
You once said that Iohan Gueorguiev is your big role model. You can feel that in every second of this video. What impresses me personally the most. If I were in Holland, on holiday, and a young man like you with his Dutch bike came from one of those typical clinker settlements, I wouldn't suspect that he had already done such crazy actions. Hope I'm not misunderstood.
hp I didn't think there would be another video. I was very happy. Let's see if something happens again.
Greetings Bernhard
Thanks Bernhard!
Watching your video you just reminded me of the incredible beauty of Namibia. Probably the most scenic country I have ever been to. Thank you for that. 😊
Echt een heroïsche reis!
Prachtig in beeld gebracht.
Ben benieuwd of je, met je Brabantse accent, verstaanbaar kunt maken bij Afrikaners.
Bedankt voor je inspanningen, heel inspirerend!
Wonderful dude...from every angle.. indeed lol....stunning. Much love.
Niet normaal. Zo mooi! Geen woorden voor.
Pure magic!
One of the best video's of Namibia. Well done!!! 👍👍👍👌😍
This is an incredible feat of accomplishment. You're a beast. Keep on pedalling and stay safe.
Sure drive and determination to continue through the loneliness and solitude. Best of luck Niels thanks for posting
Thank you!
R E S P E C T.
An amazing journey. And well done. Always looking forward to your next release 👍
great adventure! fantastic videos !! how do you navigate through Africa ??
Magnificent! You have really captured the vast, remote, hostile, serene and spectacular aspects of this amazing country: Namibia. Well done! 👏👏
Excellent! This video was extremely well done.
28:20 - do you not worry about getting caught "trespassing"?
Would you happen to have a route map of your route you’ve taken to this day from the time you started? Your vids are very relaxing, motivating, and inspiring to watch. I have a surly long haul trucker and plan on touring soon.
hele mooie video weer niels!
Dankjewel :)
que país incrível, obrigado por compartilhar 👍👊
Mooi so Niels, wanneer sit jy die volgende video op?
First, keep up the pedalling mate
Did he get to South Africa, which I believe was his final destination? Anybody knows?
No worries, I made it to South Africa. I'm now in the process of making that video :)
Bon voyage
I used to live in Namibia but I rarely biked. How were the drivers? Did they give you space when they passed you?
I avoided the big roads in Namibia as much as possible, but on the big roads (Rundu - Grootfontein and Walvisbaai - Swakopmund) traffic was a bit dangerous, especially large trucks
Wow! You are GOD!
Why not you cycling during night time?
No crocodiles in the river?
SOLTA OS VIDEOS
MEU AMIGO😁
I would have tried to meet The girl who runs with lions....!
This has been a long time in the making….
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Unbelievable
It’s just my opinion but I’d rather hear the natural sounds than the music
Die drone doet echt ongelooflijk werk.
