- Camera Comparison between the brand new Samsung Galaxy A54 against its predecessor the A53!
Some important thing to notice:
1. Every daylight picture is taken in auto mode without adjusting any of the settings and they are being displayed without edits!
2. Videos are recorded at 4k@30fps!
3. All pictures during night are taken with night mode enabled with automatic seconds!

It seems that the A54 has some improvements overall. I believe that with a software update or two these cameras will be even better.

LOL A53 pictures in MANY cases are better. His face looks like a water-color painting on the A54, while the A53 LOOKS FANTASTIC.

@D. Harrell The s21fe will beat the a54 5g in performance but it's not going to be a blowout. The geek bench scores are similar with the single core being close and the s21 fe ahead in multi score by about 400. Also the a54 has 8gb ram and the s21 fe only has 6gb ram. Cameras are very similar except for the extended zoom, but the a54 5g smokes the s21 fe in battery life running laps still after the s21 fe battery is dead. I currently have a52 5g with the SD 750g and is still running strong but I was thinking about getting the s21 fe but I can't due to the poor battery life. I may get the a54 5g but not sure yet

The newer phone is a better option. If you mixed the photos, I would not tell them apart, but that is normal, since they are from the same company, both midrange etc.

I would like to use this phone as my UA-cam phone, I would record myself in a well lit office talking, I think it is perfect for starting.
Based on what we have seen, the 53's camera provides a more balanced performance. This was also evident in an independent comparison. The dedicated distance meter is also a plus point. With the 54 algorithm, it makes up for the lack of pixels - although the photos and videos are more colorful and contrasty - but it obviously falls short of the previous model in terms of resolution.

I was curious on the Pro mode on camera, how many seconds the exposure could last? I love this function on my POCO X3 because it's possible to keep the lens open for over 30s and I'm able to capture photos from the stars

I think its improved by 10% only, with a little bit of editing a53 photo could be better.
If someone takes the trouble and does not send the photo enlargement order from the phone, but also edits it to some extent, they will surely be surprised by how much more detailed the A53 takes a photo. With some editing, you can make a classier photo.

a54 has this 50 mega pixel main camera and this a53 has a 64 megapixel camera then the video shows that the main camera of a54 is better than a53?

The camera's optimisation and stabilization systems (as well as the phone's chipset) matter much more significantly than the amount of megapixels in a camera. The A54 might only have a 50MP compared to the A54 with 64MP (which looks like a step down on paper for an average user) but if the sensor is better on the successor then you'll still have better comparable images (not to mention lower MP tends to be better on low light conditions). Megapixels aren't everything.

WELP, in mid 2022 A53 for $250 was a win. Many pictures are awful on the A54.
Not worth it, very minor changes, just a money-grab. 5 years support on my A53 and got it for $250 on sale. To charge more money they should have at least gone to a Snapdragon. Rolls eyes
A53 has more natural pictures, better for me.

you might be color blind . A54 captures more detailed photos and colorful 0:58 clearly shows that . They are not almost unnoticeable.

Thank you for your video it was great and very helpful. I would really like to ask you if you can give more video samples specifically comparing 4k and 1080 differences and 30 / 60 fps differences because in many situations the 60fps loose alot of quality Compared to the 30 fps

Neither of these looks as good as my Note5 camera did. Nope, sorry. I got it wet or would never had to buy an A53 on sale. iMAGINE THAT, A CAMERA FROM 2016 LOOKING BETTER, ESP. LOW-LIGHT I have shots at night on my Note5 with minimal ambient lighting that are jaw-dropping.
