Why I don't want to be a maximalist anymore.

Does anyone else feel urge to change the way they're consuming?
I'm still trying to figure out a way to do this that isn't drastic, because tbh..I don't think doing one of those 'no new things for 6 months' challenges is realistic for me. I've tried it before with social media and with my phone, and I found that going too much without, plunges you right back in afterwards.
So..
Baby steps. Slowly Slowly. Small shift by small mental shift.
This is the way you move forward and grow..I think anyway xx

I loveeee this and fully agree!!
I was the BIGGEST over consumer when I was younger butttt once I started to save to go travelling I really stopped buying everything, besides things I actually needed for my trip, and it changed my mentality so much. Now I have fallen back into it a little, due actually needing some things...but how I stop myself is, instead of buying physical items, (that let's face it 90% of the time we do not need) I prefer to invest it into an experience, what ever that may be - savings for travelling, going for dinner/cinema, treating your friend to a coffee...something more human :)) and makes us feel more alive. A lot more than a new lipstick, that's cute, but not fulfilling.

I love this!!! It's so true and something I'm trying to align myself with more. It's so interesting how quickly we can justify small purchases, that when added up, would equate to something more valuable if it were saved! Thanks for sharing xx
