I still have this. Absolutely loved that toyline! That Queen was a fantastic sculpt for a kid's toyline and at its price level (was so happy to have that over the one from the first wave).

One thing that I do not know if you looked into on this playset, but if you look at the molding all over the set, the tray and the Slime/egg sack on top and sides, you will see cocooned people all over, their heads, and entire bodies, even a Facehugger on the top hatch. If you would paint it grey to customize it you will be shocked to see these molded in the playset. It is so cool :)
so glad you kept this one last. I used to own this one and it was awesome with awesome ooze all over it
That would be so awesome if NECA was to recreate this playset in their Aliens line
the queen in this set looks way better than the standard one that i had, which for some reason had 6 arms.
The Queen figure was the reason to buy this set back in the day. Way better than the stand alone one.
Well actually me and a few UA-cam users have a theory that that Queen was actually supposed to be the Gorilla Alien Queen from the comics. Coz if you look at them side by side; they both have similar headcrests, two pairs of large arms, tiny hands coming out their chests, three toed feet and long tails..
@@evanmiller2562 Well that's because the gorilla queen is based on the "original" queen xenomorph from Aliens just with some slight differences. Honestly the comic gorilla queen still looks different than the figure.

I remember this, one of my fav. Kennner Alien from the line. Funny how they missed that Face Huggers come out of Eggs not Chest Bursters.

Man that Aliens line was so cool! I had a bunch of the heroes and aliens. I loved the guy who wore armor that made him look like an alien.
In the commercials I remember it always showed this queen trapping a predator with her tail and it worked great so that may be why it goes over Ripleys head
I LOVE THE KENNER ALIENS TOY LINE!!!! such well made toys that hold up so well! I recently bought some figures and vehicles on amazon. wish me luck!
You have to attach the Queen correctly for tail trapping to work.I have it and it worked for me. The notch would catch the tail when you turn the ooze dropper and trap the figure just right.
Nah, I followed the instructions exactly, and the stalagmite was just too short to hook the tail-spine. I ended up taking some black Super Sculpey and making the stalagmite a bit longer, and now it works like a charm.
totally climactic .that was the best of them all i see why you saved it for last .i have a really cool alien autopsy set that used to have slime i need to get some new slime .great series. i wonder if sigourniy weaver has one of these .

Great nostalgia blast! Thank you ! This is a great set, and I still have mine, but I had to modify it slightly, because the "stalagmite" which is supposed to hook onto onto a tail spine and make the queen's tail whip around was too short to make it work like it was supposed to.

on Kenners part, the hatchhlings don't come from the eggs, the face huggers do, and then use a human host to produce an alien

They didn't mess up anything. That's part of the perverse and feminine design that H.R. Giger was known for in his artwork. If you check the movie, the Queen is wearing heels there too.

The teeth in my Queen figure from this playset are silver coloured. The ones in the video look gray... is it a variation or is it just paint degrading over time?

When I was a kid I had Drake. I recently bought Ripley for pretty cheap from this line. Trying to find this playset is very costly from what I can see ha ha. I want the power loader for Ripley even though it's not accurate. Gotta give a badass lady a badass accessory ha ha. Crazy that you did this video 7 years ago. The ooze probably could have stayed sealed but at least you had backup ha ha. It's funny the queen has heels ha ha.

I'm always surprised by how underwhelming a lot of old playsets like this are, considering how much better older toylines usually are compared to today's toylines. Don't get me wrong, this is a cool playset, there's just not a lot you can do with it.

I wish I had saved all of my old Kenner Alien stuff , the only one I have left is the Bat Alien figure with the big flapping wings , I only really bothered with the Kenner Predator figures instead !!

I’m not 100% sure but weren’t xenomorph hatchlings face huggers? Then the face hugger would lay another egg in its victim causing the famous chest bursting aliens to grow into Xenomorphs?

They need to bring this back maybe with a few changes like it could come with eggs to surround it some facehuggers keep the egg attached to the piece but put a facehugger in it maybe portray the egg morphing idea a feature where you can actually have the queen lay an egg maybe have a host attached to it so you can have a chestburster scene still have the sliming feature and it comes with a victim to slime
