Today's video I am trying the new shimmer lights toning mask. We always love trying new products to prevent damaging our hair while toning.
I have tried a lot of toning purple shampoo's to help with brassy blonde Shimmer lights purple shampoo, I have tried many times but it has always failed me. Thats why I always use real toners like Wella toners.
I tend to tone my hair every 2 weeks to get rid of the brass in my blonde, so far my fav toners or semi-permanent are, Wella T14, wella t18, iroiro silver 🩶
Wella toners last me 2 weeks with washing my hair every 4 days.

I've been growing my hair out for 4 years now and I'm brunette. I caved and used the brush highlighting method it was pure anxiety. But it actually turned out good and now im a sandy blonde and I died my eyebrows 😅

Use the blue bottle Fanola mask and the shampoo. Works WAY better than Clairol shimmer lights crap. You're welcome 🥰
I just got the new Matrix purple shampoo and conditioner from Sallys and just the conditioner alone makes your hair so soft and healthy feeling. The puple isnt so overpowering like the Clariol its .The shampoo is really nessasaarry but I highly recommend trying the conditioner.

Bestie!!!! I have the Shimmer Lights shampoo too and literally the only time I use it is right after I wash the bleach out of my hair. I lather it up, leave it on for like three minutes, wash out then wash again with my normal shampoo. It actually really helps get the bleach out and evens out your hair. If I were to use it on just a normal wash day I would only be able to lather it and then rinse it right away because my hair is super porous like yours and it turns it purple within a minute. You have to try the new line of Wella toners! I’ve already used T38 and I am in love with it. It’s a cream so I like it much better. I’m waiting on my order from Sally to get here because it was delayed because we had another freaking storm last week. I did my roots yesterday and because of me doing the ApHogee two step 48 hrs prior I had less than normal hair loss! I’m so glad that you mentioned to do that because I was just doing them willy nilly like every couple months regardless of when I did my touch ups. Love you boo 😘

Shimmer lights Shampoo doesn't even do anything to my hair if I use it on wet hair. Yet for some reason if I put it in dry hair it tones sooooo good. And blonde brilliance is the only bleach I'll use. I love it.

I use that but I mix it with my regular conditioner use on dry hair leave on a couple hours and wash. Works good but not by itself. I used it by itself the first time and it turned my hair gray but mixing it with conditioner avoids that ugly gray tone.

Yeah it’s definitely more yellow at the roots. It’s not terrible though. At least it’s not purple lol.
I just tried wella 9N toner on my mom and it turned out so great. She never toned it other than one time we tried T18, and that turned out just awful on her. Super patchy from grey to purple and still yellow in spots even though I took small sections. The 9N was perfect. No yellow, just overall golden blonde. She loves it.

9N would be a hair color not a toner, but the neutral definitely does cancel out some yellow : )

I USE THE BLONDE BRILLIANCE LIGHTENER AND ITS THE ONLY BLEACH I USE CAUSE MY NATURAL HAIR COLOR IT BLACK AND IT LIFTS REALLY GOOD ON THE FIRST BLEACH I LOVE IT BUT I NEVER TRYED THIER DYES

I totally agree with you I like you as started at the you know the basics The toning shampoos for people that color their hair you know I just they're good for you know getting a little bit of extra kick like you said. now I did find something because I'm trying not to bleach my hair as often but the ghost blood by Pope riot which is a demi-permanent semi-permanent no damage all good things for your hair it's a very comes out purple my leave mine on leave it on I would do a little test spot but I leave mine on maybe 10-15 minutes it will freak out but when it rinses it rinses out white and I promise you I guess ghosts yeah they're white right you will well I would love to see you try that if you haven't already I've kind of been not looking at TV lately cuz yeah well anyway. and for me the t18 in Wella I don't know for some reason I just as a matter how long I leave it on I always come out with purple tones The generic at Sally's the icy blonde t-18 my hair comes out white all one color but I found now that the ghost blood can keep me longer from doing any kind of color any bleaching for quite a while. and by no means am I a professional by any sorts or just giving my advice as a friend of my friend Becca die hard Barbie. and girl I'm before you do the bleach bath for real try the ghost blood from Pope riot it's a big tube you don't need to use the whole thing I would just put it on cuz I had the same problem with the the roots being different from the rest and that's because I wasn't being careful and it was always not as it was darker than my rest of my hair so I would just put it on my new growth and you'll be superly surprised so I don't know that's that's what I'd like to see you try if you haven't already.. blessings
I did the fanola twice in wet hair 5 mintues each then today dry hair for 20mintues

I tried this once upon a time and my wanted blonde fairytale look turned into a grey nightmare (Scott Cornwall pre-colour shampoo is fantastic for getting rid of semi-permanent colour, especially these conditioners)
I just dyed my hair red at like 3 am lol. Honestly I'm really not a fan of shimmer lights but I never tried this conditioner. I love the Easter eyeshadow you did great and it looks really good. I haven't seen the hair results yet ❤️. Okay I've seen the results now I just think shimmer lights sucks lol

Try Fanola no orange and no yellow products. They’ll get your hair nice and white WITHOUT Wella toner.
I have found shimmer lights to be very drying.

Omg !!!! I wasn’t playing around when it said to leave on for 5 minutes lol 😆 I ran to the bathroom to wash it out! It actually made my hair so dry after couple of hours went by!!!! Bleach bath always saves the day ! 🫣🩷 I’m never buying it again lol

Shouldn't of put it on the ends they were toned already. It definitely did something to the roots though.
