Hello from New Zealand. We had a Daihatsu MAX 360 in the 1980s. 2. Cylinder water cooled. It was great fun, it could cruise at 100K for long drives, that's 6000 rpm! It did chew spark plugs and foul points, so I built a KICK ARSE CDI with optical interrupters. Worked well, but there was a problem with dwell angle, and sometimes when It coughed when cold it would run backwards! Exciting times! My wife did not agree ! We sold it to a workmates who wrote it off driving front on into wall while trying to reverse. The back axle end up as part of a small trailer. Whenever I smell 2stroke smoke, it takes me back to that car. Cheers Doug
My first car was a DKW, 1964, F12, 900cc. I was going to the university in Mexico City. I got rid of 2 out of the 3 mufflers, the sound was just great. I enjoyed my DKW a lot.
I had a 58 model when I lived in Abilene TX, while I was in a trading binge. Never got it running, although it was all there. One of those I should have kept!
reminds me of the 70,s when the oils where mineral and 4 strokes came more in at that time. temps of -c25 or -4f did not start but my dad his dkw2A junior 800 deluxe was
I'm very jealous of your DKW! I have Wartburg 353s that are the same drivetrain design and I too love that 2 stroke sound and smell. 40:1 is the lifestyle choice. You've got me wondering whether I would benefit from synthetic oil. I always have used the cheapest 2 cycle oil out there, because that can't be any worse than they had behind the Iron Curtain!
With your longtime experience with the brand of oil you use I'd like to buy the same thing. Word of mouth is King right! Is it sku# 40903? They have so many.
It sounds like a small alcohol fueled Funny Car. I don't blame you for getting out just to listen to the exhaust note. How did you come up with the #cash motif - it is a very cool look for this car.
@@2stroketurbo Back in the day before viscous coupled fans, people used to clip a piece of plastic in front of the grill, tailor made for their car. It helped the engine (and thus the heater!) warm up faster. Tried to find a pic for you but as of yet, unsuccessful. Old Volvos and Saabs (I would guess other makes as well) even had a kind of "roll blind" in front of the radiator you could roll up and down with the help of a chain link under the dashboard.
Thank you very much for sharing the love of small cars and Stella too.
I like your Yellow and your black DKW. I feel happy when i see your mini cars and your DKWs. 👍👍😀😀
Love the sound of that little motor
You obviously love what you do. And you love where you live. Your vids are always positive Sounds like true happiness !
I am blessed yes
Gorgeous car.
Thank you

One of my favorite parts of your videos is the attention you give to Stella the wonder dog.

That's a superb car. Love it. Happy Motoring,
the oil is best put before the fuel,..
Great car collection 😀
Good video. Thanks.
I remember their claim that the 3 cyl 2 stroke produced the equivalent power of a 6 cylinder 4 stroke. Never really bought that.

Here it is
It is very important that you first put the oil and then the fuel to ensure the perfect mix between these two
I'm almost positive he knows how these things work
@@cameronmahoney5061 I mean, this channel is called 2 stroke turbo right
Beautiful
Thank you!
@@2stroketurbo your welcome
I own a Saab twostroke but I wouldn't mind owning one of these either.
😁
Awesome! Keep the quality content up!
🤣
Does your car have expansion chamber exhaust? That engine would sound better, and you'll have a nice power band wen ya drop down a gear!
Great day to be alive. We take so much for granted. Do you bring a lunch box for the dog too? Or does she share yours.

Synthetic two stroke oil makes a huge difference I can feel.
The gearstick is so high up on this one! It feels like you're in gear when you were starting it, and in 3th, it looks like neutral !
Maybe.... seems normal to me
Two stroke smoke choke......👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Yes its redline synthetic smokeless you can buy it by the gallon on Amazon now
Mark, you got it backwards. Oil first and the filter helps mix it. Oil+had=happy deek
Oh no. Oh well.

It's a Testament to how much I've spent on this thing over the 25 years I saved it from the scrap heap
Wing ding a ding!
You live in oregon? I'm in Vancouver washington lol good to see another guy from the pnw that likes old cars
Are you missing the seals for the side windows, or do they not shut properly?
I had to have the rubber custom extruded I have it but have yet to put it back in.
@@2stroketurbo Thank you for your answer!
Передние петли на 3-6 это нормально?
What kind of exhaust is this?
Custom one off. I made it myself
@@2stroketurbo allright sounds very nice. Have you build the muffler by yourself?
I need to build a new exhaust for my 1960 Auto Union 1000S
I built the expansion chamber the muffler is for a 1990 Honda Civic SI
@@2stroketurbo thank you!
Sounds like my old stock Yamaha banshee
With good oil, 50:1 should be perfect. Less chance of plug fouling, and less carbon, in the exhaust.
The sound of that car is cool 👍 but i think you're revving it a little to high.....!
Love you good night night and
Ha!
Haha, first, posted 3 sec ago! :-)
So, does the heater in this one work OK? ;-)
It does work a bit. But not enough

and another detail, your counts are lying, surely it is badly connected, the dkw engine at most reaches 4500 revolutions per minute
