i must agree on this one, but i knew it, the moment i saw the renders of the phone i knew they would F this up, also people are talking about NUBIA terrible Android Updates policy but Asus confirmed than this series would still only have 2 major updates which for the price and the vast variety of customers that the phone is now targeting, is ridiculous.
Nubia won this year, Blackshark seemed tol have give up because the Blackshark 5 series was a flop, Lenovo and Razer also given up, the only challenger is IQOO but outside of china good luck.

I am too much disappointed even the cooling system like exhaust port is removed. Now Rog feels like a normal flagship phone rather than a gaming phone. They surely compromised with specs to make it lighter and smaller and to provide better camera

@@WilRiv5286 SoC is system on chip. Meaning the 8 gen 3 snapdragon. I actually think the redmagic is really top value compared to the ROG this year. Better speakers, better batter MUCH better design. Sure the fan means no IP rating but I don't care, I don't swim with the damn thing.

Bought an almost £1000 rog 6 2 years and the phone overheating was a big issues and burn its own speaker and motherboard within a year. If you looking for a good gaming phone go red magic it's the best gaming phone for a great price

I Don't know what's all about with this hate comments about rog but this phone is literally the future of phones why buy apple, tecno , poco or infinix if you have this 1tb 24 ram beast of a phone it's fast charging to. And I know like thiers 68w phones their but it up for that cuz it last for days(base on this video). People don't know how great this phone is cuz their ps5 and vr headsets now but if I only have money and I wasn't poor I would not hisitate to buy this phone it's an insane phone and one of the coolest phone design with the back animations and if I had this phone it'd probably be blind of playing the heck out this phone (it's also 144 hz to). I hope someday ROG will make a 6.1 or 6.5 inch phone size for gamers that have small hands like me. I'm an Iphone user and also have rog 7. In terms of size i go for an iPhone but in performance I really like the ROG. PLEASE ROG MAKE AN SMALL SIZE for the normal version like for example rog8 (6.1/6.5 inch) and rog 8 pro 6.78 inch so people can choose what they prefer

I'm receiving my REDMAGIC 9pro this monday, after that i'll sell my pathetic ROG PHONE 6 the sound of the speakers are a huge downgrade from the rog phone 5 and 3 and the battery life sucks despite having 6000 mah battery
I'm glad i choose android handheld over waiting for this. Here is why i think rog phone 8 is bad:
1. Gamer looks at rog phone for portable game device, they probably have main phone, soo they don't need main phone feature (OIS, Punch hole camera) on their gaming phone.
2. You chase gen-z with a price for boomer. There is proverb in my language which is "chase the egg lose the chicken".
3. Nothing new, At this point red magic have better phone (inovation wise) if red magic able to perfect their tech, you will be leave behind.
4. I feel like rog phone try to change the trend from having 2 phone (main and gaming) to just 1. Gaming in your main phone is bad experience (battery drain, interuption, and storage space can't handle all photos videos and game)

Stop the Cap, the software and Ui bugs have been fixed since the REDMAGIC 7S, the bugs are no longer here, and their phones have less case of exploding battery or motherboard frying or camera bugs than what Asus has.@@ALO_BBS

Also : this phone is confirmed to have only 2 major android updates while costing over a 1000 bucks for only 256go
So yeah keep dreaming, also enjoy the downgrade from the rog phone 7, in battery, heat dissapation, sound quality, and even the aeroactive cooler that no longer sports 4 additionnal buttons, no bass system, and probably cool down the phone even less that the previous one.

After Update Android 14 , My ROG Phone 7 Lag so much , Heat so much and Drop Fps so much . I can play well 60 Fps in Android 13 . But after update Android 14 , Fps drop to 6 - 10 . Very very bad , please fix this very bad version with new update .

If you take care of your phone, it will last. I spent $1400 on the 7 Ultimate and it was a great investment as far as I'm concerned. I went from a Note 9 (from 2018) to the 7 Ultimate. Honestly, I was hoping for 8000mah battery, 7.1" screen (7+1=8 lol), at least 80mp camera, and even 80w super charging. Hence the "8" in the name
This is a smaller phone marketed partly to a regular consumer audience so ASUS is clearly taking a different approach for this generation.
