Hi friends, it looks to me like was painted in gold spray all over the thread and blank, you can uce pure acetone to remove the gold color but is soft enough to not remove the original color or the info that came in front of the foregrip (hopefuly 😉), if you decide to re-paint it, you can buy a 1/32 of car paint of your choice called basecoat and then use urethane clear and it will give a ultra gloss flexible finish, if you want it matte or satin finish use a matte additive in the clear, always using medium reducer (NOT THINNER) thinner is for clean the gun and equipment, you will need (if you not have one) a pancake or small compressor and a smal HVLP spray paint gun maybe $125 in both tools, its easy, if you want it glossy don't use the matte agent, any doubt just ask whatever man, I will help you inconditionally always 👍

You're on the right track, it looks like a Garcia Conolon, but it's from before ABU bought the Garcia Tackle Company

It's a G and means it's a Garcia rod. Probably from the 1970s
